RB Jarvis Giles

I hope he likes losing because South Carolina seems great at it. :LOLtartar

if there is one thing i cannot stand it is someone putting down a kids choice for school... hell if i saw right their d was better then ours for most the year... anyone else see that....

it was a freaking joke! don't get your panties all in a bunch...my point was South Carolina is not a contender for the SEC championship, and certainly not for a BCS championship under the current regime Spurrier has going. The great players will almost always choose Florida, LSU, Alabama, Tennessee over a school like South Carolina any day of the week.

recruiting trail. Same can be said for the staff he already has in place. The scary part is, it will get better once he finishes his staff.

Honestly, Kiffin is about to put the whole SEC on notice that Tennessee will be a power again. His coaching mentality may not work at Tennessee, but that dude will put a crap ton of talent on the field in Knoxville over the next few years.

Don't forget but we play Tennessee in 2016/17. So if he'll be putting a good recruiting class together in the future and he's still there and Bo is putting a good recruiting class together in the future and he's still here, than that will be a really good game to watch.

Ok time to eat my crow. <_<

I said he'd be here, and he would have been possibly if it weren't for those darn kids(parents). I plan on never making any "you can quote me on this" posts anymore when it comes to recruiting. I'm quite disappointed, but on to the next. Best of luck to you Mr. Giles.

I wouldn't guarantee anything when your dealing with 18 year old kids.

Curious to see if Spurier (spelling) going to Auburn affects Giles committment?

Folks on the board were saying that he probably got "promised" something and would get a free, easy ride ... and that is why he committed. Don't know about any facts on that ... but ...

if Spurier does go to Auburn, the lack of stability that Giles has gone thru now with the Vols .. and then the Gamecocks ... I would think that the Husker tradition at RB and the obviously upswing of Bo's Defense would still make our Huskers a great selection.

It was on espn 103.3 here in Dallas today that I heard that Auburn wants Spurier for five years. Spurier wants a three year contract, with his brother I believe included with his brother being the next coach.

Well, I put this out, perhaps other sources can come in here now and comment. I'm more of a reader here than a poster of information ... so maybe this helps a few mod's to confirm.

Hope I didn't open any can of worms ... was just looking for some input.

Thanks,

SheepdogMark

Apparently, those assumptions someone brought up about Giles possibly having attitude issues were founded. Top article on that link says he was suspended for some time this season.

Scroll to the bottom of that one, and Giles is apparently frustrated and was considering a transfer. What a prima donna. Glad we didnt land this kid. On a side note, applause to the ole Ball Coach on running a tight ship at USC.

Jarvis Giles is transferring from Louisville. It is unknown where he will land.

Looks like he didn't like the competition again...never made it past spring practice.
