Has Texas used up their scholly allotment for DE's or have they just not noticed this kid?

There is a who lot of time between now and FEB 2010

Scout only lists 2 guys with offers from Texas for 2010. I'm guessing they must do offers at a junior day or something or wait until camps. I forget what they did last year.

5 :star 6.1 on Rivals now:

DE Jackson Jeffcoat Ht: 6-4 Wt: 233 40: 4.6 Plano (West), TX :star :star :star :star :star/:star :star :star :star :star 6.1/ESPN150 Watch List

ESPN:

Jeffcoat sports the same jersey number as 2009 defensive end Devon Kennard, but that is not why he reminds us some of him. Like Kennard, Jeffcoat is the son of a former NFL player and combines ability with a heady style of play to be very productive. Jeffcoat's father Jim was a fine NFL defensive end and is now a college coach and you can see by watching the younger Jeffcoat that he has grown up around the game and learned a thing or two from his dad. He possesses good size and looks on film to have a nice wing span and the frame to add more bulk as he matures. He has a good get-off and plays with good pad level coming out of his stance. He does a good job of shooting his hands and creating and maintaining separation. He can keep his "power angles" (ankles, knees, hips) bent and hold his ground. He can also engage and stretch a play laterally. More.
