HuskerNMO
Evidently he's a track-guy that just came around to football but is doing damn well against quality competition. The coach knows Carl and sent him film. If there is one good thing about not filling-up early it's that you have the flexibility to make runs at the guys that really bloom as seniors, like Middleton coming out of nowhere last season. How does a track guy run a 4.64 forty and a 4.74 sort shuttle (these are defensive end numbers) --- should those not be say 4.44 and 4.14 if he is a track guy? Triple jump and high jump. Track isn't only about running. Link to comment
huskers1
So just bc Carter is a one star by scouts standards does that mean that he is a hidden gem? Rivals or scout just doesn't have enough to rate him yet so thats why he doesn't have any stars. If when the rankings for him come out and he's a four star does that mean you guys won't be pissed about taking him? Link to comment

huskers1
I'm not sure, I think I'm a little dilusional. Looks like C-4 is the only one that has complained about it. Link to comment
huskers1
I knew I'm not dilusional, go look at this guys thread on the "husker football" forum and read what people are posting in there. Link to comment
ticks
Does anyone know if he was offered as a receiver or as an athlete? I noticed that Brown and Gilmore are listed as his recruiters, but he has the size and speed to play a whole range of positions. Does he play any defense? Link to comment

Rivals lists him as a 4.5 guy. 40 times(and other measurables) will vary between sites and between timings, I seem to remember considerable inconsistency about Burkhread's 40. One site had him as like a 4.65 guy and he certainly seems faster than that. Link to comment

huskers1
For everyone freaking out about the no stars next to his name, Jeremy Crabtree was on 1620 today and he said he was out at his practice and he said "NU is getting one hell of a player". His coach said that he was sitting behind a division 1 receiver last year so he didn't get a lot of time till the end of the year. His coach said he had a really good winter, a hell of a spring and has had a very good fall this year. If you guys want to listen to it its www.1620thezone.com then just go to the podcasts on the right side. Crabtree also said he thinks we got a major steal here. Link to comment
