beanman
I know all everybody focuses on is how fat the guy is, but he can flat-out coach. He has lesser athletes that are fundamentally sound and he made our D look like crap today. If KU were smart they'd hold on to him for as long as he alive... We were lucky to win that one. Without the facemask at the end of the game and the fumble caused by Gomes a different result. Quote Link to comment
Husker Runner
Mangino coached a great game today. Quote Link to comment

Ohio Pete
Great coach. Hope he loses weight because guys that big don't live too long. Too much stress on the heart. Quote Link to comment
EbylHusker
I joke about Cheesefries Mangino, but do it fondly. He's a great coach and Kansas is doing well with him. They were so bad for so long and they're actually a consistently good team at this point. And yeah, it's not like we're a great team, but they played well against us. They pretty much schooled our D for a good part of the game. As was said, a few key plays that didn't go our way and it might have been a different result. Quote Link to comment
knapplc
Yeah, I get really tired of the "fat" jokes, too. Talk about going after the low-hanging fruit. The guy is a good coach. Who gives a damn about his weight? Quote Link to comment

np_husker
He is a good coach, but needs to take care of himself. Did anyone notice him sweating? That's not good. Quote Link to comment
macroboy
I think he's gonna take some heat for the pooch kick. But yeah he's a good coach. In all honesty though, I gotta say Bill Snyder is pretty impressive this year. Quote Link to comment

HuskerNMO
They scored 17 points...it's a myth that the D played bad. 17 points and we should win LOTS of games. Here's the past 4 years against KU and what they scored on us 40 32 76 35 That's an average of 45.8 against the Blackshirts over the past 4 years. 17 points sounds pretty damn good IMO. knapplc
I will not be sorry to see Meier, Reesing and Sharp go bye-bye. Briscoe may even opt to go Pro - who knows? I've sweated out the last two games against these guys. GO AWAY. Quote Link to comment
