Danny Bateman
This kid was a 2 star in high school, I wonder if that was due to his grades or his size. I really have no clue if grades effect the rating system at all. It is great to see that he has worked hard to reach his goals and hopefully he keeps working hard in that classroom too. They don't factor in much if at all. The star of Mizzou's class last year, Sheldon Richardson, 5 star DT, was the number 5 ranked player in the nation. Dude didn't even step on campus. Went JUCO route. Link to comment

huskers1
I really think David and Compton will be on the field together 99% of the time. I think David is exactly what the coaches are looking for. Someone that is strong enough and big enough to be in the middle in nickel and someone who is fast enough to stay on the field in the dime. BigRedfxtoy
Unfortunately, Compton has a long ways to go. Link to comment
huskers1
Ya he does, but I'm thinking with another winter in the weight room and a whole spring ball, 7 on 7 and fall camp he'll grow leaps and bounds with the experience he got this year. Link to comment
BigRedfxtoy
I sure hope so, I think he is a hell of a player but looks lost or scared to make a mistake. He is continuously being dragged for first downs are at least a couple yards.... very frustrating to watch. Link to comment
titanhusker
Seems like he has the size and speed to be a strong saftey as well if we don't land coop... Can he cover? I'm not sure we need him to play as a pure "Safety" because we have Rickey Thenarse, PJ Smith, and I assume Hagg will move back to Safety, so maybe Lavonte can replace Haggs position now which is kind of a hybrid Safety/LB/DB i would say gomes played that hybrid more then hagg Link to comment
MadcatNU
Unfortunately, Compton has a long ways to go. I’ve heard that a lot, but interestingly Phil Steele put Will on his 2nd team all frosh team. Fisher was 3rd team. Link to comment

Danimal
It will be interesting to see if we continue to spend more time in dime than base-defense. Gomes was more of a starter than Fisher or Compton during the conference-sched. Link to comment

He amazed me....hell of a job!! Link to comment
