bernorange
Musberger is the best in the business of mangling player names. I just hope the crew doesn't decide to conduct a 10 minute interview with Bob Stoops during the game. Quote Link to comment

BeachBuffs
I think McCoy and Shipley get mentioned a ton for offense and Suh will get mentioned a ton for defense. Quote Link to comment
TITANIC VS LUSITANIA
I think McCoy and Shipley get mentioned a ton for offense and Suh will get mentioned a ton for defense. Agreed. That is what will happen. I think they will talk about them pretty evenly and "The blackshirts have 4 all-bigXII playerz" and "Colt is the BigXII offensive player" and they will freak out when Colt gets a 1st down on the ground and they will freak out when Suh forces an incomplete pass, etc. But as the game shakes one way or another, they will just talk about the team thats ahead. I think its fair tho. I dont mind they way they do it Quote Link to comment
drewbudd
I wish we had the Ron Franklin and Ed Cuningham duo. I STRONGLY disagree. Ron Franklin is a horrible horrible commentator. Ed Cunningham is great. But Ron continuously make the wrong calls and sticks with them. For instance, say a QB is rolling out of the pocket and throws a pass with no one in front of him. Said pass comes out wobbly, Ron Franklin would proceed to say that it was tipped at the line, despite no one being there to tip it. Seriously, just watch a game he calls and really listen to him. Ed Cunningham on the other hand, makes the whole thing tolerable. Quote Link to comment
T_O_Bull
Don't really care for Brent but Herbie is OK. At least they are college anouncers and not NFL guys who act as if it is beneath them to be working a college game. T_O_B Quote Link to comment
Joe_5700
yeah. I don't know about "objective," but seriously. Plus, Herbstreit is pretty much on our side now. I like Herbstreit's analysis. He is not a Husker hater. Remember him calling the NU/Michigan game? He was getting giddy when Cory Ross was busting big runs at the end of the game. I don't remember the actual words but he was laughing with excitement during one run. Quote Link to comment
T-BONE
Ron Franklin is lossing his mind actally I think. Quote Link to comment

I just hope the crew doesn't decide to conduct a 10 minute interview with Bob Stoops during the game. Keith Jackson was the king of name mangling in my opinion. Whoah Nellie. Musburger is just a complete DB. He HATES NU with a passion. His changes in voice inflections for a big play are just over the top and make him look like an idiot 1/2 the time as the big play did not happen. The decibel level for those plays when it is good for Texas will also be noticably higher. He is going to elevate McCoy to a god like status when speaking about him. The struggles NU has had on offense will be mentioned every other play when Lee is under center. Suh will simply just be referred to as "The big guy". Quote Link to comment
Nexus
Personally I enjoyed when Keith Jackson called games with Bob Griese. They did a good chunk of NU games during our 3 National Title runs. KJ enjoyed everything about the NU program. Quote Link to comment
spankytoes
Brent Musburger Drinking Game: Texas vs. Nebraska Edition If Brent says the word "Roommate" drink a beer If Brent says the phrase "down there/down that way" take a shot If Brent says the word "Daddy" take a shot If Brent mentions "Tuscola, Texas" take a shot If Brent mentions that Colt McCoy will have 45 wins this game, or any reference to "Colt .45", take 2 shots If you made it to halftime, and have not passed out, you sir a true American Hero. Glendower
Since ESPN's lips have been surgically removed from Tebows penis this year, prepare yourself for a full blown McCoy is God presentation since they know he'll end up winning the hypseman. I think you're a little paranoid if you don't think there won't be a modicum of "OMG Suh!" talk, too. I'd guess that it will be presented as a "McCoy vs Suh Showdown!" or something quite like that. That being said, I hate those two guys, too, and I don't know of any people I've seen whining more about NU in my life. Herbstreit's bawling about the 95 huskers vs 72 huskers was just hilarious. Now my hopes for a husker win also contain a little desire to hear how those two assbats (yes, bats) frame the texas loss (because it won't be a NU win to them, it will be a UT loss). EDIT: Ahh, I didn't realize that Herbsteit was in the Bo camp. I really don't watch him much and that 95 v. 72 clip is really the last time I saw him talk about NU. Quote Link to comment

Ah, so there was an interception in that play that he forgot to call. Quote Link to comment
