killer cacti Posted January 12, 2010 Share Posted January 12, 2010 He does exactly what his role in that defense is to do, take up as many lineman as possible to let the LBs like Rolando McClain fly around and make plays. The more OL he takes up, the less OL is there to block the LBs. Yes, Suh made more plays, but Suh is also a much better player IMO. The 4-3 system in which the Huskers run makes it essential for the DL to make plays, not just take up blockers. But also, I do agree that he needs to get in shape and be out there more.
