Anyone read WeirdHarold.com

It's an ultra-cynical, satirical blog that seems to be based in the Omaha area. It's similar in style to The Onion, although not as funny or well-written. The author takes a few shots at Husker football and the fans that obsess over it, like this:

Okay, dementia explains what happens when you play football. Now we need a study to look into spectator brain damage, as in what makes 70,000 people dress up in fire engine red, drive 100 miles, and gather in a stadium to watch out-sized primates butt heads over an inflated leather pouch.

Ernie Chambers could have a heyday with that quote.

I remember spending lots of time in the Old Market area of Omaha while attending UNL, and people really went out of their way to let you know if they were not Husker fans. Kind of like they were trying sooooo hard to portray themselves as cultures and sophisticated that they were too good to be Husker fans...lol. As soon as they heard I was from Los Angeles, they would start to rag on the folks west of Omaha. Was kind of odd.

...by far Nebraska's most liberal newspaper (that I've seen).
