JTrain
It's an ultra-cynical, satirical blog that seems to be based in the Omaha area. It's similar in style to The Onion, although not as funny or well-written. The author takes a few shots at Husker football and the fans that obsess over it, like this: http://weirdharold.com/husker-brain-damage/ Okay, dementia explains what happens when you play football. Now we need a study to look into spectator brain damage, as in what makes 70,000 people dress up in fire engine red, drive 100 miles, and gather in a stadium to watch out-sized primates butt heads over an inflated leather pouch. GSG
The author was probably one of those kids that were always picked last or cut from the team and now think they're better than everyone because they can write in their blog to make up for their "mistreatment." Quote Link to comment

WCHusker
Not too bad-it has potential if someone actually put some effort into it. Quote Link to comment

Ernie Chambers could have a heyday with that quote. Quote Link to comment
CornHOLIO
Seems very familiar. Wasn't there a kid that used to post or be quoted here that graduated from Misery's Journalism school and was stuck living in Omaha? Looks like he's also a disgruntled OWH employee or got turned down from there Quote Link to comment

I remember spending lots of time in the Old Market area of Omaha while attending UNL, and people really went out of their way to let you know if they were not Husker fans. Kind of like they were trying sooooo hard to portray themselves as cultures and sophisticated that they were too good to be Husker fans...lol. As soon as they heard I was from Los Angeles, they would start to rag on the folks west of Omaha. Was kind of odd. Quote Link to comment
