RockyMountainOySker
......the Detroit Lions. Future teammate of Suh? It would be fun to watch a couple Nebraska D-linemen on the same team. Link Quote Link to comment
mmmtodd
very, very, very intriguing. Quote Link to comment
Nexus
A local Detroit sports anchor thinks the reason why Coach Schwartz went after Vanden Bosch was three-fold. -- Schwartz was Vanden Bosch's DC from '01-'08 while at Tennessee and they have a good relationship. -- Vanden Bosch possesses great leadership skills and played a key role in influencing and mentoring Albert Haynesworth. -- Since Vanden Bosch is familiar with Schwartz's system, he will also be depended on to assume his leadership role and mentoring the next draft pick, which will be either Suh or McCoy. Don't forget that Dominic Raiola also plays for the Lions. So if Suh does end up at Detroit, he'll have a couple of Husker NFL veterans to hang out with. Quote Link to comment
JTrain
The Lions play a 4-3 right? Quote Link to comment
Nexus
The Lions play a 4-3 right? Correct. The Lions also nabbed DT Corey Williams today too. Quote Link to comment
Nexus
BTW, Vanden Bosch will wear #93 in Detroit, so if Suh or McCoy goes to Detroit, they'll have to find another jersey number. Quote Link to comment
hack
Vanden Bosch and Suh both on the field at the same time? dude, that's like teaming Superman up with Batman. Quote Link to comment
zoogs
KVB best change his number if Suh comes to down. Quote Link to comment
sky hy ironman
Hey SkerChicago, KVB & Suh on the D-line in Detroit? Oh no, I feel bad for Jay Cutler facing those guys twice a year for who knows how long. I am going to have trouble on the jobsites wearing their jerseys. Man, can Detroit really be loading up on D. to make an effort at playing NFL football. I hope so, bring the competition to make daBears better, cause if not, then Bill Cowher will be the new coach here in 2011. Quote Link to comment
PurpleandRed
KVB is getting up there in years, I think its a great pickup for the Lions, but he won't be a huge threat for very long. Quote Link to comment

NUance
Can't wait for Detriot to be on MNF. We'll have a couple of intro announcements: "Kyle Vanden Bosch, Univerity of Nebraska." Hopefully the Lions will get on MNF before Vanden Bosch retires. Quote Link to comment
RednScarlet
Agree that he has slowed a little, but he still finishes every play when he's on the field. He will be missed here in Nashville, and wish him well with the Lions. We did pick up a very good DE in Derrick Morgan. Quote Link to comment
