Posting YouTube Videos to HuskerBoard

Recommended Posts

To post YouTube videos to HuskerBoard, you have to use Media tags.

The entire line will look like this:

And the output will look like this:

Note: the posting interface will automatically convert entered youtube links into embedded videos. This may be true for other video sites as well; if not, make sure to use the tags with the raw-text (i.e, not a hyperlink) URL within.

Not to hijack the thread, but is it simple to add a pix to a post ?? (not utube........just a picture).

When I've tried to transfer a pix from a document file, I can't get it to copy and paste into the post or reply section.

I admit I'm WAAAAY behind the curve on this type of stuff, but if it's simple, I'd enjoy adding it to the repertoire.

Appreciate any info from you creative genius types...................

Ah, yes. The important thing is that the link you paste in between the tags can't be formatted. When the Advanced Input mode is on, it will automatically paste links as hypertext - i.e,

is in reality

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ

This is annoying beyond belief, and my least favorite part of this silly "advanced" interface.

*Although actually, posting youtube links turns them automatically into embedded videos, which incidentally is an easier solution to this problem.
