OldGoldKnights
Norris pitcher Byron Hood committed to the Huskers. He is a 2014 prospect and throws in the upper 80's. Looks like another decent ball player for Erstad and company. He has a good friend and teammate by the name of Jackson Reetz. Supposedly he is the higher rated prospect and will be looked at by many other colleges and possibly scouts. Can't hurt to have Byron in his ear for the next couple years. Quote Link to comment

Hayseed
With any kind of success next year you would think we'd get Jackson. Glad Byron is coming. Quote Link to comment

According to perfect game, he is the 21st best prospect in the 2014 class. Should be interesting to see where he gets drafted. Quote Link to comment
OldGoldKnights
Huge pickup!!! Hopefully he comes to Nebraska, if not, still wish him the best. Quote Link to comment
TonyStalloni
Great news about both of these kids planning to join the Huskers. The draft will be a nemesis for the Huskers as it is for most teams. Do the top programs like UCLA, So Caro, Ark, etc have similar problems or do kids stay there because of the liklihood of playing for a Natl Championship? Quote Link to comment

They do have the problems, but they don't deal with the B1G rules. They over sign with the expectation of losing players to the draft. That is a no no for Nebraska. Quote Link to comment

MLB 51
This is great. A great catcher makes the game so much easier. 1 Quote Link to comment
CornHunka
Reetz is a flat out stud, I've been watching him play for about 4 years now. He's easily been the best baseball player out on the field in every game I've seen him play, but the only thing that's going to get him to campus is is boyhood dream of playing for Nebraska because he'll easily be drafted in the top 5 rounds, and probably in the first 2 or 3.
