HuskerFanChuck
Looks like the Huskers are at 299, after getting 3 more in Men's Track & Field. I think all the sports have their teams out now, including the 'Other' category, so it looks like we'll jump over 300 sometime next academic year. Football, announced ages ago, hit the 100 plateau this past year. Couple other notes, if the listing on the website for my wife's alma mater, Augustana (Ill.), is accurate: Her alma mater is still sitting at #6 on the all-time list. They also had 3 selected in Division III for Men's Track & Field. Nebraska Wesleyan is now tied for eighth for total number across all divisions. Pretty impressive. Looks like they jumped from the teens into the top ten over this past year or two. Very nice, and kudos to them! I looked over the site earlier today, and it looked like there were only four categories where we weren't somewhere in the top 10: Men's and Women's Basketball (which our website said the women's team was actually tied for tenth) and Men's and Women's Soccer. Always humbling and impressive to look at the great work our athletes do, not only on the athletic side, but the academic side as well. Quote Link to comment
HuskerFanChuck
As a follow-up: Wow... Nebraska Wesleyan had 17 Academic All-Americans in various sports this year. Again... wow. Quote Link to comment
Comish
Huskers at 299 is obviously the result of a watered - down curriculum since we are AAU unworthy.............. Quote Link to comment
