GSG
No. 47 -- Idaho State at Nebraska, Sept. 22: Don't confuse Idaho State with Boise State. Idaho State comes off of a 2-9 season in the FCS Big Sky Conference. Nebraska should have little trouble handling Merril Hoge's alma mater before kicking off Big Ten play the following week against Wisconsin. http://espn.go.com/b...games-nos-48-35 22. Arkansas State at Nebraska, Sept. 15: The Red Wolves won 10 games a year ago and now are coached by offensive guru Gus Malzahn, who'll match wits against Bo Pelini's defensive mind. I am officially intrigued. http://espn.go.com/b...ames-no-s-34-21 Quote Link to comment
GSG
I'm guessing Southern Miss will be in the next installment and UCLA in the top 10 maybe. Quote Link to comment
Moiraine
I wouldn't be surprised if we beat Idaho State by less than we beat the other three. I was just thinking the other day, our non-conference schedule was pretty indicative of how the season went last year. I'm hoping this year we really blow some people out. I'm tired of beating terrible teams with scores like 31-21. I want to see some shut outs. Quote Link to comment
Chaddyboxer
I'm guessing Southern Miss will be in the next installment and UCLA in the top 10 maybe. Alabama vs. Michigan will and should be #1. Honestly...that's going to be a fun game to watch. Quote Link to comment

Honestly...that's going to be a fun game to watch. It will be interesting to see how Saban defends Drob. I'm guessing he blitzes him a majority of the game with his speedy LB's and let's his loaded secondary man-up the Michigan WRs. Quote Link to comment
Husker from Kansas
i honestly dont think that michigan will keep it within 17 points of Alabama, Bama is just too good and too fast on defense for drob. Michigans passing game isnt any better than ours really, and i think that when saban brings a lot of pressure at drob that drob will make a alot of costly errors. i expect drob to go somewhere around 10-21 125 yards 1 td, 2 ints, and 11 car, 45 yards 0tds I really hope im totally wrong, im tired of hearing about how great the SEC is, and how the all the other BCS conferences are 2nd tier compared to the mighty SEC. If michigan can make it a game with bama and maybe even beat them then i think that would be huge for the BIG. I am hoping that this is the year that somebody, anybody ends the SEC's streak of national championships Quote Link to comment
Moiraine
Ditto... I really want Michigan to do well, but I'm seeing him having one of his terrible games where he throws 3 interceptions. Quote Link to comment

At least the guy redeemed himself a little with Arky St., they may give NU a game for a couple of quarters. And I don't see it either, but it'd be nice to see Michigan take out the SEC's best. So, so sick of not only the SEC but of ESPN drooling all over them at any given moment. Quote Link to comment

Haspula
Also don't forget one of NU's non-conference games against so miss: So Miss beat #6 Houston 49-28 Houston beats Penn State 30-14 Nebraska beats Penn State 17-14 Quote Link to comment
exswoo
I found a really fun site today that goes over the transitive property of Football http://www.myteamisb...om/tpncpoll.asp It makes a very compelling argument as to why Indiana (or any team from FBS all the way to D3) is better team than Alabama Here's the Huskers : Div I - FBS Nebraska beat Ohio St 34 - 27 Div I - FBS Ohio St beat Wisconsin 33 - 29 Div I - FBS Wisconsin is better than Alabama because Wisconsin beat Penn St 45 - 7 while Alabama only beat Penn St 27 - 11 Therefore, Nebraska is better than Alabama in 2011 as shown in 3 rounds by a combined score of 123 - 90. 1 Quote Link to comment
GSG
No. 13 -- Southern Miss at Nebraska, Sept. 1: It likely won't make many lists of must-see openers, but Southern Miss-Nebraska could be a surprisingly good game. Southern Miss comes off of a Conference USA championship, while Nebraska begins its second go-round in the Big Ten. Both teams ranked in the top 20 nationally in rushing in 2011. http://espn.go.com/blog/bigten/post/_/id/54463/ranking-b1g-nonleague-games-nos-20-11 Quote Link to comment
GSG
No. 5: Nebraska at UCLA, Sept. 8: Chris Fowler got off a good line at the Big Ten kickoff luncheon when he guaranteed that the Cornhuskers would be going to Pasadena this year -- to play the Bruins in Week 2. UCLA might have been one of the worst teams ever to make a conference championship game last year but could be much improved with 16 starters back and a new head coach in Jim Mora Jr. Either way, it will be hard for Nebraska fans not to get excited about their team playing in the Rose Bowl and wondering whether this year's team is good enough to get back there New Year's Day. http://espn.go.com/blog/bigten/post/_/id/54547/ranking-b1g-nonleague-games-nos-10-1 Quote Link to comment
