Lorewarn
Recently binged through the new podcast, "Our Thing" with Sammy the Bull Gravano. He was the underboss of the Gambino family mafia in New York, and just tells stories of mob life, hit jobs he did, etc. Insanely fascinating to listen to, coming straight from the source. Enhance
I can't believe there's a meal replacement company named SOYLENT that's been around since 2014. Like, come on. And they only minutely acknowledge the connection to Soylent Green. 1 Quote Link to comment

Absolute mayhem Astroworld: Travis Scott and Drake sued over deadly Texas concert crush Quote The rappers Travis Scott and Drake have been sued for having “incited mayhem” after eight people were killed and dozens injured in a crush during a Texas concert, a law firm has confirmed. Thomas J Henry Law tweeted a story published by the Daily Mail on the lawsuit, confirming on Sunday that it had filed “one of the first lawsuits in Travis Scott Astroworld festival tragedy”. ‘No Way Out’: A Sudden Life-and-Death Struggle at a Houston Concert Quote HOUSTON — Panic and then desperation spread through the crowd of 50,000 mostly young people just as the popular hometown rapper they had come to see, Travis Scott, took the stage Friday night. It came like a wave, an unstoppable movement of bodies that could not be held back. Some collapsed. Others fought for air. Concertgoers lifted up the unconscious bodies of friends and strangers and surfed them over the top of the crowd, hoping to send them to safety. Others shouted out for help with CPR and pleaded for the concert to stop. It kept going. Quote Link to comment
GSG
UNL student charged with threatening chancellor on Yik Yak Quote LINCOLN, Neb. — A University of Nebraska-Lincoln student has been charged with terroristic threats after allegedly threatening to bomb Chancellor Ronnie Green’s office. Jude Almquist, 18, of Omaha, faces one felony count of terroristic threats, according to Lancaster County Court records. According to an arrest affidavit, on Sept. 6, UNL Police Department received a voicemail from a person working for the social media platform Yik Yak. The supervisor stated Almquist's post on YikYak said he planted a second bomb in Green’s office. Using Google Maps and the GPS location, the post was found to have come from the UNL Student Union where Green’s office is located. Quote Upon contacting him, Almquist allegedly admitted to making the post “as a joke” to “make people laugh, get upvotes and comments.” https://nebraska.tv/news/local/unl-student-jude-almquist-charged-with-threatening-chancellor-on-yik-yak Quote Link to comment
knapplc
This is pretty incredible. You can see the moment where the song comes together. Everyone just gets where McCartney is going and it springs forth organically. Quote Link to comment
