You have got to be kidding me.

Basically, if I'm reading this right, Ol Miss is basically saying the NCAA is a bunch of idiots.

As the recent Commission on College Basketball (Rice Commission) report outlined, the NCAA enforcement model is “broken” and ill-equipped to handle complex cases, and we believe our case was adversely impacted because of it. In the early part of the investigation, our cooperation with the enforcement staff allowed us to contain the case to allegations that were based on credible and persuasive evidence instead of speculation and rumor. However, in April 2016, unbeknownst to us, the enforcement staff shifted and excluded us from the investigation for several months. The results of this shift spawned allegations based on inconsistent testimony by individuals with clear motives and conflicts of interest. In fact, the IAC found that various witness accounts “could have led a reasonably prudent person to a different interpretation of the facts.”

Need to change the name of this thread?

While I have no problem with a HS kid taking money from some old dude...this is clearly something that JP learned from his time at Bama.

Not that anyone thinks Bama is clean, or that any high major program is clean, but there is no way that JP works for Saban, sees him running this totally clean program, gets the UT job and decides "Well, I guess we better cheat like crazy because that is the only way to get recruits"

If this was not such a tight fraternity, we would hear more stories and they would be awesome.  But these guys are loyal to each other and to the profession, so all we get are little snippets here and there.

But could you imagine the book/series that would be written/produced if they got a coach from each P5 school to really be honest about all the cheating that goes on?!?!  It would be must see for sports fans.  The 30 for 30 on SMU and their cheating was so interesting.
