In a perfect world, this program sounds great. BUT, when you start putting money in people's hands the chance for fraud goes through the roof. Heck, already we have jack azz world leaders of third world countries taking food and instead of giving it to thier people they sell it for profit. Why make it easier for them? Now, obviously the problem that is discussed in the article needs to be addressed and these operations need to be more efficient. But, I don't think just giving people money to do what this describes is a good idea. Link to comment
strigori Posted April 26, 2013 Share Posted April 26, 2013 Assuming the money is being spent by a trustworthy 3rd party, its not a bad idea. But letting the governments in the nations we are sending aid to is simply foolhardy. Calling some of them corrupt, would be a compliment. Link to comment
