@Dilly Dilly As one poster noted, their whole fanbase is pretty pissed right now, especially at their OC, since this was their second week in a row without a TD. (See all the other threads on that board.) They're probably a little saltier than usual.

Also, recruiting site messageboards are almost always the worst sampling of any team's fanbase. Always stay away from rivals or 247 boards and don't let them color your opinion of the whole base. The nebraska rivals board is similarly terrible and cancerous.

Yeah, that's why i just hang out here.  Despite the backbiting we seem to have here, it's pretty level headed, and respectful, for the most part.

@Landlord Some fanbases don't really have any good, active boards that aren't run by the recruiting sites, though.

You're not wrong, but regardless of whether they do or not, the nature of messageboards that are a feature of paid recruiting sites tends to attract the absolute worst (maybe second worst compared to twitter fans) demographic of any school's fanbase. Nebraska, Iowa, Michigan State, Alabama, Oklahoma, so on and so forth - the Rivals/247 boards are disproportionately absolutely awful compared to the fanbases as a whole.

I will say the last time I was in East Lansing for a game the fans were very hospitable while I was walking to the stadium.  Was offered countless shots of alcohol.  Most people were saying they were told they had to be nice to the Nebraska fans because Nebraska fans are nice.  Not going to lie there was a MSU fan sitting in front of me during the game that was trying real hard to get me to punch him.  Other than that it was an enjoyable experience.

Watch from the 3:00 to 4:00 and hear what MSU's DC thinks about the fans. I don't know that I've ever heard this said about Husker fans.

It’s out of respect for the game we don’t act like a-holes. Interesting that it throws opponents off their game. Hopefully the B1G has to adjust to us.

Now we have a Kentucky player ranting how good our fans are.

"I’m really disappointed,” Daniel said. “That stadium should have been filled out to the max. You’ve got a ranked team, first eight wins in the regular season since the ’80s.”

Daniel mentioned the sack record set by his teammate, Josh Allen, then pivoted out of the blue.

“And look at this, you’ve got Nebraska — a football powerhouse, wins national championships — still sells out 80,000-plus when they went 0-5,” he said.

I want to make one comment regarding this topic.

Please, for the love of God and Nebraska football, do not brag to other people about how awesome Nebraska fans are.  I've seen a couple people do this in person and it really takes the shine off.  Let other people tell them how awesome we are and let them experience it for themselves.
