Bo Pelini is the best man for the Husker job. I promise he prepares like no other & coaches beyond football, sets you up for life

Because of you @BoPelini . I switch schools on signing day, was committed to LSU for 2 years. Things changed after my meeting with you

This is what should mean the most. When these players know Bo a lot more than we do. Hardrick didn't even get that good of playing time when he was a high profile guy. And he did not hesitate to say good things about Bo. Like i've heard before, every single college coach has said something or another that never gets to the public. Unfortunately some ass hat tipped off deadspin. I'd be pissed too at all of the f&%ktards who leave the game early. Hell you can go back and see me bitching in the woodshed about the people who left with 7 minutes left in the Wyoming game. We sure do like to have the best of both worlds here. We may be the greatest fans as far as gestures toward opponents go. But damn we don't hesitate to rip this program to shreds if it doesn't go our way, myself included.

All of his players love him. You say they know him better and that's probably true. But that is Bo's fault. All we get to see is the prick that gives short answers to the media and says "what do you think? you were there, why don't you tell me" instead of being a grown up that makes $3 MILLION a year and answer the question. I'm no Omaha media homer that thinks they do no wrong (personally I can't stand Dirk), but the guy needs to show us something that's likeable if he wants to be liked.

I don't need to hear anything from the AD or HC. Unless he was just worked up after a big win, there is no other explanation I will accept. He said it and he obviously meant it. I don't think it is an offense worth firing him. But I would not cry if he was gone after the end of the year.

You will if we finish 13-1 with a B1G title on his resume but this won't happen so you probably won't cry, lol.

I'm curious if Perlman and Eichorst are still thinking things through. I mean, the way I see it nothing good can come of this. It could end up being a cancer for the players and the way the offense has been below average so far with all the experience it has and the youth on defense... this could be Bo's first season we don't win 9 games. So I'm all for Bo scrapping ideas now and mixing things up on both sides of the ball now rather than later. He learned last year he didn't burn red shirts when he probably should have.

Bo will not be fired. Lets move on.

So, are Nick Saban, Urban Meyer, Jim Mora Jr, Mark Dantonio, Brady Hoke, Will Muschamp, Mike Gundy, etc... are they all pricks because they don't answer questions and are paid a lot of money to do it?

They're paid money to coach football not answer slimy media member's questions.

Here's what I don't understand... why would Pelini have been so angry that he needed to vent after that Ohio State game? He should have been thrilled with the big comeback win. Instead after, he's taking a giant dump on Tom Shatel and the fans.

Fast-forward to 2012 with the win over Wisconsin. Big comeback win. HUGE win. What's he do? Takes an attitude in the post game presser "Contrary to what some of you think, I haven't forgotten how to stop the run." Why? Why is he so needlessly combative with fans and reporters? At what point do his antics become a liability to the University of Nebraska? Texas 2009? Texas A&M 2010? This? The stuff with Carl that was kept quiet but in reality everyone knows about? Some other thing he's done that hasn't come out yet?? At what point do the administrators have to say that the juice isn't worth the squeeze?

Turning point for Husker football.....We have hit the point of critical mass.......Maybe this lights a fire underneath the team and gets them going in the right direction. Who knows....Bo needs to have a friggin filter. No one is perfect. We all have said things we regret. So, I am not gonna hammer the guy too much....

I'm just tired of seeing our team roll over and play dead......miss tackles and then give the same ol "We're close" speech "Tighten up mistakes".....Watson said that a lot. If Bo is fired....get ready for another 5 years of wondering. We may lose recruits, current players, etc.

This is just bad bad bad!!! Timing is jacked up too.

We need to bring back some former players and coach these guys. Folks who understand tradition. Our house needs tending too and has been for a while!

This whole situation makes me sick!

I always thought Carl was more approachable than Bo. Maybe that had to do with the fact that Carl has a bachelors degree in English literature. At any rate, I've always thought Bo was a jerk and I get tired of hearing the same excuses "We'll fix it, we gotta get better, we didn't execute, a lot of missed tackles." Btw that last one he has been using that excuse for his defense since 2008. Even in wins he is not proud of he comes off as a jerk at times. He really ought to invest in taking anger management and communication lessons during the off seasons.

I just wonder, whoever's been holding on to this for the past two years, why'd they wait until now?

Why not after the Wisky game last year?

Exactly. If it was just a personal vendetta against Bo, a coaching change in the off season is a lot easier deal. The timing makes me think they also have something against our program. Dirk.

Seriously, what is with the angst against Dirk on this board? It borders on paranoia.

I added "Dirk" at the end just to be funny. I think Dirk's a bit of a DB but other than that he doesn't bother me much.

I have been reading on this for 3 hours now and did not want to add my two cents, but since this is the wishing well, here it goes... 2011 was a rough year for the boys and Bo, and even the fans. Bo was right to feel the way he dis, although his rant is a clear reaction to a reporter being pushy; listen again, the lady is egging Bo on...he pushed his way right to the front... Bo felt abandonned, its obvious. He is acting fatherly, like he promised players parents, lashing at the things hurting "his" boys.

No one is mentioning what Bo has done lately, trying to be more aproachable and easy going with media relations... Examples, harlem shuffle video, bos cell phone prank, jack hoffs td run in the spring game, his emotional conference today admitting he is pushing the fun out of playing... All of that was this year!! If you are offended at the word f@#k, well sorry, its football, its a tough game for hard men...despite attempts to sissify it with knee jerk rule additions.

Coming from one of the most hated, oldest members here, I expect to be carved. But think about the good in Bo, the things he has done right, lately! 2 years ago does nothing for the team today, its what is happening right now that matters.

I go to all the home games, I was at ohio st, start to finish...and longer. same for ucla, and anytime a brick was dropped at home. Winning isnt everything, but losing sure does suck...but not enough to throw out the babyy with the bathwater!
