Abdullah the Butcher
http://m.espn.go.com...bigten&id=92178 6. Nebraska will lose at Fresno State. Speculation about Bo Pelini's job status will resume. 7. Athletic director Shawn Eichorst will work remotely from Alaska in the week before the Huskers face Miami, his former school. A group of Nebraska fans who live in the state will foil his attempt to avoid detection. Eichorst will decline comment. 8. The Huskers will beat Miami and open Big Ten play with a homecoming win over Illinois and a victory as a 10-point road underdog over Michigan State, arguably Pelini's biggest win in seven seasons. After a bye week, Nebraska will lose at Northwestern as Armstrong's Hail Mary is knocked down. Quote Link to comment
whateveritis1224
6. I think Fresno State is going to lose too much. DeRuyter might be a decent coach, but I don't think they're going to have the athletes next year. 8. No way are we losing to Northwestern next year. Simien is not a good QB, at most he's decent. Northwestern would have been better if they stuck with Colter at QB. Quote Link to comment
strigori
Long story made short, the prediction is 9-3 and not making a trip to Indy again. Which, unfortunately, rings very true to me. Though I don't know as basically the same record we have had for 6 years counts as 'bold' Quote Link to comment
Abdullah the Butcher
He also said the losses would be close which would be a sign of progress to the fan base........I doubt we would see it that way. Quote Link to comment
Ratt Mhule
Seems like the author is trying to be more funny with these predictions then anything Quote Link to comment
southernoregonhusker
The whole thing is tongue in cheek. Quote Link to comment
Creighton Duke
Losses to Fresno, Wisky, and NW...hmmm.... At first glance, it seems like that would be a pretty decent outcome, but only decently quality wins would be over Miami and MSU, then... Quote Link to comment
Redmusky
owls win, cowboys win ,bulldogs win. hurricanes win, fighting Illini win, spartans win, wildcats win, knights win, boilermakers win, badgers win, gophers win, hawkeyes win All the games are winnable spartans lose a few player badgers are good games which may go in the L column since we are traveling on those 2 games. RexIsMyDogg
2. Quarterback Tommy Armstrong will dazzle in the Red-White game, running a basic offense unlikely to resemble the system in the fall designed to fit his strengths. In #4 he talks about Stanton being the #2 QB. But I truly believe when spring and summer is over, Stanton will be the clear QB1 heading into the fall. I believe Beck will adapt the offense to better suit Johnny's skillset in more of power run, play-action offense. I think that's one thing we as fans haven't given Beck credit for. That his offense is adaptable to whatever QB is in the game. He didn't necessarily have to worry about that at KU because although Reesing weighed like 150, it seemed like he never was hurt. Back to my earlier point, lets not forget that Stanton was leading last year's Elite 11 camp going into the final couple days. He was leading the likes of future all-american Christian Hackenberg and 9 others. Folks he has what it takes, I just hope he gets his chance and when he does, as Fla-Ga Line says he gets his shine on...color me excited! Quote Link to comment

huskerfan92
I wouldn't even say these are bold predictions. The only one I don't think will happen is losing to Fresno. Sure if they had Carr, but they are losing a lot from this team which got manhandled by USC who's been through 3 different coaches this year. Quote Link to comment
Panterafan
10-2, losses to Wisconsin and one we shouldn't lose. Go into bowl game ranked in the top 20, probably playing Georgia.LOL Quote Link to comment
walksalone
Fresno St takes body parts from all the Carr brothers to build, "Carrinstien", beats Nebraska 400-2 (Darin Erstad hits a 2 run bomb with two minutes to go in the bottom of the 9th)… Eichorst begins cloning a "kinder, gentler" Bo in Biology class… By the time the 0-7 Huskers play Rutgers, 50 yardline seats will cost one powerball ticket, Herbie Husker quits and becomes mascot for Western Kentucky (replacing the thing that looks like the big red monster from Bugs Bunny), Carl will be stalking Papuchis in a gillie suit, waiting for the right time to strike, and Beck gets fired for actually trying to trace Abdullah and Cross for a JUCO WR prospect to be named later… Quote Link to comment

It would be a line drive double obviously. Also can Erstad be the special teams coordinator while still being the baseball coach? Quote Link to comment
