knapplc
After all that waiting, all that anticipation, all that impatience all summer long, through Fan Day and Fall Camp, through the naming of the starters and the build-up to the Wyoming game, after waiting eight months for a season that seemed like it would never get here.... it's almost over. Seems like the blink of an eye. Seems like Wyoming's furious fourth-quarter comeback was just a week or two ago. Like Stanley's pick-six against Southern Miss just happened, or like the 21-3 lead against UCLA, when the stadium was as loud as it was all year and it seemed like, FINALLY, this might be the year Nebraska broke through, like that was just a few days ago. Now the snow blows across an abandoned Memorial Stadium, a harbinger of all those long months to go with no football, no Huskers, no look-alike threads, no Let Us Pray threads. The shortest four months of the year are about to end. Enjoy it while you've got it. Quote Link to comment
NUance
Should Old Acquaintance be forgot, and never thought upon; The flames of Love extinguished, and fully past and gone. / that's what you're saying, right? LOL Quote Link to comment
Chaddyboxer
Welcome everyone! What's for dinner?! Quote Link to comment
huskered17
Seemed to be one of the most stressful seasons I can remember. So many ups and downs with the team and the coaches. So many unhappy fans. I hope this new year is just that, a win today and a good recruiting year and a better season next year. May not be what we think Nebraska standards should be, but we are in a bowl game, and as always, I will enjoy watching the Huskers play. GBR!!! Quote Link to comment
Foppa
Well said. And I hope this is a fast game and a fast Husker win... Because we're driving here www.musselkitchen.co.nz for lunch and a Shapeshifter concert, 3 hours after kickoff. So get it done quick Big Red Quote Link to comment
NUance
This season came real close to being another 2007. And it might have been but for the NW Hail Mary and the PSU game ending field goal. Whew! Quote Link to comment
Chaddyboxer
Definitely a nutty season... Quote Link to comment
Foppa
This season came real close to being another 2007. And it might have been but for the NW Hail Mary and the PSU game ending field goal. Whew! That's a scary thought. I don't think the games had quite the same feel of those 2007 games, but the record could have been similar. I never thought this year that we were absolutely going to lose any of the games. In 2007, I went to the OSU homecoming game and absolutely knew we were going to lose. And it was more than over before halftime. Geez, thanks for making me have to recall that, NUance Quote Link to comment
Comish
You can distill this game down to one thing. If we don't turn it over.........we win. Simple as that Quote Link to comment
Something Clever
You can distill this game down to one thing. If we don't turn it over.........we win. Simple as that And score more points than the other team 1 Quote Link to comment
lo country
You can distill this game down to one thing. If we don't turn it over.........we win. Simple as that If not for the untimely TO last year, IMO, we would've won. With our O against their young D we should win. Unleash the beasts against Mason and stuff their run game. I'd almost sell out to stop/stuff it and make them play catch up. We better win or it will be one crazy long off season. GBR! <img class="UMSRatingIcon" id="ums_img_tooltip" /> Quote Link to comment
Abdullah the Butcher
We've already fumbled twice before kick-off. Quote Link to comment
Foppa
I just couldn't listen to Bo's pregame....so I listened to 'Blurred Lines' by Robin Thicke instead. I'm not even sure what to think of that. Quote Link to comment
Foppa
We've already fumbled twice before kick-off. There's probably a women's lacrosse game you can go watch. Quote Link to comment
