VA Husker Fan
1. Smashing Pumpkins 2. Cranberries 3. Pink Floyd 4. Eagles 5. Beatles Really have to think about REM or Springsteen for one of those last 2 spots. 1. Dream On - Aerosmith, Fisher had a good version too 2. Radiohead - Reckoner 3. Fade Into You - Mazzy Star 4. Paint It Black - Rolling Stones (U2, but their version isn't that great) 5. Heroes - Bowie, Wallflowers Yeah, bunches of others come to mind, if this would really happen I'd think about it longer but I just went through stuff I have on my MP3 player for running. Folk, probably, over Classical 2 Quote Link to comment
True2tRA
Whoa!? Dude put Kanye West on his list? Yowza....... Why is that yowza? Kanye is one of the greatest hip-hop artists ever. Oh, your list was serious. I was certain Kanye and Avenged Sevenfold had to be jokes. Which is fine. To each their own. I just don't want to be near HeyBurke Island. Ya, what he said. Thought I was one of only few people that appreciates that song. Good stuff man. Quote Link to comment

HeyBurke
So, I like how only my musical tastes are being criticized when some of you picked utterly sh#t bands like Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. 2007 called, they want their crappy pop alt-rock back. Quote Link to comment
True2tRA
Damn man, don't take it personal. I'm fully aware we don't all agree on musical taste. I'm aware that not everybody likes the same music I like. I am also aware that nobody likes or respects Kanye West as an artist....or at least I thought nobody did. See, we can disagree and be okay with it.... I'm being sarcastic.......relax. Quote Link to comment
Ratt Mhule
I didn't say anything to this guy and he says I picked "utter sh#t" bands haha. Alternative rock is my favorite genre and they still made records past 2007. Maybe that HuskerHoosier guy was on to something here... Quote Link to comment
HeyBurke
Yeah, we all do have different opinions. I just think it's ridiculous that I'm that one person in this thread who had their musical tastes criticized. Though, I'm not surprised which two posters it came from. But, yeah, let's all just act like it was a big joke. That way we don't have to take responsibility for being dicks! Quote Link to comment
Ratt Mhule
You did the same thing to me as they did to you. If you don't like it, why the hell would you do it yourself? You're the one being a dick now. Not that I care, I just think its funny that I didn't say anything to you yet the band I picked is the one you call utter sh#t. 1 Quote Link to comment

HUSKER 37
Most important question... Ginger or Mary Ann? Are we on this island for a "3 hour tour"? or forever? Some sort of solar battery or a limited amt of power? If unlimited, I'd need to listen to some Zydeco..Otherwise...more Reggae. Quote 1- Five groups or musicians. You get their whole catalog of songs. 2- Five other songs. You get any and all versions of these songs. 3- One genre, except these 5 (Rock, Country, Alternative, Hip Hop/Rap, & Pop) cannot be chosen. Please pick your 5 & 5 before adding the genre. Imagine that you might not get your genre... Some examples of a genre; Reggae, Blues, Classical, Dance, Electronic, Folk, Jazz, R&B/Soul, Holiday, Inspirational, Christian, World, etc. I'd heard the name Kanye West before, but didn't know he was some sort of musician... Some great songs/bands mentioned here...Thanks for steering me toward listening to Mazzy Star - Fade Into You..Nice!! Now..my knee jerk list ..all while trying not to hate myself for what I leave off... 5 ... 7 ...8 Groups Van Morrison Tool Stevie Ray Vaughn Led Zeppelin Willie Dixon Alice In Chains Slipknot..If nothing else but to scare off the pirates and/or head hunters from the neighboring Hip Hop Island Pink Floyd Beatles 5 Songs (can't think of many songs other than Willie Dixon's that were covered by many artists...Plus there's not many songs I can listen to more than a few hundred thousand times). Little Wing-Jimi Hendrix, Sting, Stevie Ray Vaughn, maybe even Cream Sing Sing Sing- Benny Goodman Terminus Eldorado-Ted Nugent Jesus Is Love- Commodores Serpentine Fire- Earth, Wind, And Fire Say Hello to Heaven- Tomple of The Dog, Chris Cornell Good Timing- Beach Boys Beautiful Morning-Rascals 1 Genre- Blues.
