NUance
Vincent Valentine. Time to step up and prove he can be our full time run stopper. He's the man in the middle now. 1 Quote Link to comment
RedRedJarvisRedwine
Alex Lewis. I expect him to have a big year though and leave for the NFL. Quote Link to comment

hskrfan4life
Ameer and Randy. No one is going into the season with more hype than those two. Gotsta live up to it. I 100% agree with you. It would be a complete disappointment if they cannot live up to the hype. Quote Link to comment
AR Husker Fan
Offensive line. We lost a lot, and EVERYTHING we hope for on offense (Armstrong being more accurate, Ameer having a 1200 or 1500 yard season, etc.) starts with the ability to give the quarterback time and the running backs holes. 1 Quote Link to comment
huskerjack23
Offseason and fall camp coaching. Fix turnovers and return game issues, and that's the difference between 4 losses and 2, in my opinion. Everything else will get these kids to the promised land. Quote Link to comment
Chaddyboxer
Tommy, Ameer and Gregory. Newcomers that need to step up IMO or current players: Charles Jackson, Tariqq Allen, McMullen for sure. Quote Link to comment
HuskerShark
It depends on what angle you want to come from. Here's my picks: Defense - Charles Jackson - It's time to live up to the hype and make use of his athletic ability. Reports from spring said that a light switch was turned on. Let's hope so, because we need a couple CBs to step up. Cockrell looked pretty impressive in the spring game as well. Offense - Jamal Turner - Last year was supposed to be his breakout year but he was plagued by injury all season. Hopefully he stays healthy and gets his head on right for this year, because losing Q is big. Quote Link to comment
sd'sker
i am thinking newby is putting a lot of pressure on himself and could be necessary to the success of our offense. i am thinking he will not disappoint. Quote Link to comment
Abdullah the Butcher
Drew Brown is the kicking savior we've been waiting for, I'd say there is a ton of pressure on him. Quote Link to comment
HuskerNationNick
Offense, its going to be whoever is our starting QB. Defense, I believe its the linebackers. We have been so hyped about the youth and athleticism. We saw flashes last year from each individual, but we will expect to see a seamless defense (for the most part). Quote Link to comment
zoogs
Offense: OT Alex Lewis. We have a number of spots to replace on this OL. We'll need this newcomer to really lock down one of the tackle spots and be a force for us. Defense: S Corey Cooper. How many years has it been since we've had really, truly exceptional safety play? Cooper's had a lot of hype, a lot of playing time, and now it's his senior year. Time to go out there and shine. If he can, it'll really help the other layers on defense show their full potential as well. Quote Link to comment
