nic
My son was dating a girl from Columbia. Her family recently migrated from there. Some reporters embedded themselves with the migration. Interesting read. Tough journey. https://www.cnn.com/2023/04/15/americas/darien-gap-migrants-colombia-panama-whole-story-cmd-intl/index.html 1 Link to comment

That reminds me, it's almost time for the periodic hysteria about that nonsense to start up again on the right. Link to comment

funhusker
If only we spent the last decade or more actually strengthening our immigration infrastructure rather than arguing about a stupid wall... 3 Link to comment

Looks like we want to continue arguing about a stupid wall. Okay, I'll give you a shot. Explain it to me like I'm a 6th grader. How would a wall stop a wave of immigrants coming through a port of entry? 1 1 Link to comment

It’s actually designed to funnel illegals INTO legal ports of entry so the US can process the applications vs people just walking over and we never know who they are or process them legally. 1 Link to comment
NebraskaHarry
And to imagine this whole time this immigration problem was just about being able to efficiently process people. Crazy since yesterday, I just saw a picture of a large mass of immigrants that appeared to be doing just that and Republicans were freaking out. 3 1 1 1 Link to comment
