Glendower
Would Bo's ego let him hire a DC who was experienced and competent (or even an OC, for that matter)? I have a hard time imagining him letting anything go, but if he could change on such a fundamental level (and coach DBs and LBs), I think he could do a lot better. Quote Link to comment
suh_fan93
Pelini would have to have an entire personality change via shock therapy coinciding with countless hours of intense psychotherapy. He would also be required to practice implement abundant meditation and reflection time after the shock therapy sessions concluded. Yeah right lol. If we keep him the real question is just how irrelevant can Nebraska get? I don't want to know. Quote Link to comment
Dagerow
Get one very good qb - one that can pass (doesn't have to be a great runner). People, in my opinion, ignore the impact a premier QB has on a program. The coach allows a team to be good, the qb is usually the one that makes a team great. Quote Link to comment
skersfan
I keep hearing the offense, we gave up 408 yard to one running back, over a thousand to Wisconsin in three games. There is a defensive problem on this team, not only an offensive problem. Quote Link to comment
JJ Husker
Bo giving up complete control is never going to happen. Dream world. If he is forced into it, I could see him being so stubborn he would run the program in the ground and take the money when forced out. That kinda seems like what he is doing now. Quote Link to comment

That kinda seems like what he is doing now. frankly, i do not think bo has been hungry for a long time. i think he figured out early (2011) that he did not have the answers, but was stuck here. so he kept doing what he knew how to do and how to do it and we have been stuck in neutral since. that is why people who are satisfied with a change in staff are crazy. the same problems have existed among different staff and players. and if he does get a good staff and hangs out in the background, why keep him around? he was hired for defensive acumen. if we want a coach great at managing a staff, that is what we should go out and find. Hunter94
If we stay with Bo, the best thing we can do is cross our fingers and hope the light bulb comes on for him. I just don't think it's likely he'll change his style. But maybe he'll look back on this season and others before, and decide he's learned things and change accordingly, and emerge -- a beautiful, new, Butterfly Bo, ready to demolish the B1G and lead Nebraska to championships. Maybe. i just don't think this caterpillar will ever sprout wings! Quote Link to comment

huskertim
No more contract extensions until they are earned. Does that hurt you with recruits? Maybe but probably not as much as having your a** handed to you on national TV. Quote Link to comment
GBR62
New OC- Beck is a high school coach New DC -enough said Paps is not the answer. Hire LB coach Barney needs to go back to Mayberry Get a identity on both sides of the ball. Maybe do a little blocking an tackling in practice. Quote Link to comment
Dr. Mantis Toboggan
Ta-he tha-hey... THE best way to move forward with Bo is to write the AD a letter to get rid of him. Get on that for us will ya. Quote Link to comment
onlyHskrfaninIL
Beck has to go and I think he will one way or another. Hire a quality OC that you think can give this offense an identity and consistent strategy. Defensively, a new scheme is needed. I think that is pretty obvious. You can bring in a new DC but we all know that isn't going to happen. Quote Link to comment
dspanther05
If we hire a new OC/DC coordinator and let them run what they want, what is the purpose of Bo Pelini? What does Bo bring to the table as a head coach? What purpose does he serve? I have no idea what the answer to those questions are, someone please fill me in? Quote Link to comment

Basically to be a CEO and oversee everything...however as poorly as he has done at that it sounds pointless and would rather give someone else a shot instead of Bo. Quote Link to comment
