StPaulHusker
Mike Riley needs to call Dave Aranda now. Ohio State game be damned For what position? We already have a DC and a LB'er coach. I agree Aranda is a good one, but not sure there is a spot. Thoughts? You're right. Just wishful thinking. Maybe DL? Quote Link to comment

I have no idea, not sure you can tell Banker he is coming as DC and now that he is working tell him never mind you are just DLine. 1 Quote Link to comment
StPaulHusker
God it sucks that he could be available and there might not be a spot. We need a guy who knows B1G offenses. Quote Link to comment
Red Five
I think we all need to remember the words of Canadian pop sensation Robin Sparkles: "Two beavers are better than one" 1 Quote Link to comment

Kernal
So he's basically bringing his entire admin staff?????????????????????? Doesn't make sense to me. You'd like to think he'd want a couple people who have worked at Nebraska for awhile to stick around to help him understand what's going on. It makes sense to me. The us-versus-them culture is contagious. 1 Quote Link to comment
StPaulHusker
Riley announces 4 assistant hires. No coordinator designations named other than Read at ST. http://www.huskers.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=100&ATCLID=209805114 Quote Link to comment
BigRedBuster
I find this very interesting. LINK The full-time coaches announced on Thursday include defensive assistants Mark Banker and Trent Bray, offensive assistant Mike Cavanaugh, and one of the nation’s most respected special teams experts in Bruce Read. No coordinator designations, other than special teams, have been made to this point. Quote Link to comment
Thanks_Tom RR
@Sean_Callahan: Mike Riley officially announced Banker (D),Read (ST),Bray (LB) and Cavanaugh (OL) on staff, but no coordinator duties named other than Read. Quote Link to comment
Count 'Bility
So Banker is NOT defensive coordinator at this time. Hmmmm. Quote Link to comment
B.B. Hemingway
So Banker is NOT defensive coordinator at this time. Hmmmm. Hard to imagine he would follow Riley, and take a step down to position coach. If so the guy has no ego..... Quote Link to comment
Thanks_Tom RR
So Banker is NOT defensive coordinator at this time. Hmmmm.Yeah, he is simply a defensive coach. My guess is DC or DL is still in the air for him, so maybe Riley is going for a specific name for the other position coach and doesn't want to specify Banker's role until then. Quote Link to comment
