Vince R.
Everything sets up well for this guy. TE will be a priority in our new offense and guys he looks the part physically. He's my bet as a major contributor out of this class. Quote Link to comment
Danny Bateman
I simply don't understand why. In. The. WORLD. Beck went away from using TEs in his offense. The size/speed combo the right guy can provide an offense is a ridiculous advantage. You see it in the NFL as well. Guys like Gronk and Graham are such physical freaks that there is NO ideal cover man for them. You double them or live with the damage they do. If nothing else, Carter was such a gifted athlete I'd have at least split him out in the slot like Wats used to use McNeil. Extremely pleased Riley understands the unique advantage TEs provide and relies on them. This young man should have an outstanding career here. 1 Quote Link to comment
ScottyIce
Agreed Dudeguy. It would be one thing if Carter and Cotton were dropping passes left and right, then you could almost say that it was Armstrong that steered clear of them, but they just didn't have many passes their way. I would say Kyler Reed had some problems in that regard, but they still usually threw the ball his way a couple times per game. The NFL is a playground for those types of TE's. Quote Link to comment
TonyStalloni
If our last coaches had been mechanics they would insist to their customers that their cars could run fine on 5 cylinders instead of 6. They consistantly underused the tight end. I'm excited for Matt and how he and CC will be used in the new system. Quote Link to comment
Thanks_Tom RR
Read in-home with Snyder tomorrow. Quote Link to comment

Red Five
I don't believe this will be the last one of our guys to get a UM offer. Harbaugh has 6 commits. He's throwing offers left and right and seeing who bites. Quote Link to comment

Tell him if he goes to Michigan he can consider himself not committed to Nebraska and we will act as if and pursue another TE. Quote Link to comment
