Huskers Taking Applications for New Season Ticket Holders

Nebraska fans interested in becoming a football season ticket holder for the 2015 season should add their name to the request list by visiting Huskers.com/Memorial Stadium. Those who add their name to the request list by April 1 and pay a $25 charge per order will get the first opportunity to purchase any 2015 season tickets that may become available.

The availability of tickets for the 2015 season will be determined following Nebraska’s season ticket renewal period. After that time, those on the request list will receive e-mail information from Nebraska Athletics regarding their opportunity to purchase tickets through Nebraska’s Seat Yourself on-line ticketing option.
Full information on the process is available on-line at Huskers.com.

There was somewhat of a to-do about ticket renewals last year. I'm sure there was some unhappiness with the previous staff playing into it but they said about 95% renewals is pretty standard. That's 4000-5000 tickets that come open each year. Probably be pretty similar this year so they just want people to know that there is an opportunity to get them.

The expansion took a lot of pressure off the waiting list. Over all "donation" levels dropped last year due to the extra seats. I think it will be a little harder to keep seats sold. Keeping them filled will not happen.

Agree. There were a lot of factors that rolled into a "slow" sellout last year. The team hadn't gotten over the hump. Growing distaste for Pelini. No active waiting list due to everyone getting into the expansion. It will be interesting to see how quickly things turn over this year. New coaches usually bring renewed enthusiasm. Probably go significantly quicker this year.

Our family turned in our tickets last year after having them for 15 years. Went to 3 games last year and had no problem finding tickets at or below face value plus having better seats than the 95th row of the North end zone (where our old tickets were) each time. Would be more apt to put in our name for tickets in the future with the new coaching staff.

My dad and uncle aren't renewing. Last year was their first year holding tickets. It has nothing to do with the team. It has to do with the seats that aren't wide enough for their rears, let alone their shoulders, and apparently they had some fairly lame fans sitting around them. Add to that the 2000 minimum donation on top if ticket prices they decided it wasn't worth it. They'll buy tickets to the games they really want to be at and sit somewhere they really want and come out way ahead.

Minimums vary LARGELY depending on where you want your seats. $2000 is not a etandard minimum. They should look at getting seats in new expansion areas where there are individual seats and not benches.
