knapplc
What's this about Randy Gregory? It always seems like a talented prospect falls to the Steelers every April, and that could be Randy Gregory this year. Pittsburgh is usually reluctant to select a conversion player in the first round, but Gregory is too talented for the front office not to consider him. He would also fill a huge need as an edge rusher, as the Steelers desperately need to improve their ability to get to the quarterback. Some of Gregory's issues are documented. He tested positive for marijuana at the NFL Combine and then reportedly showed up below 230 pounds on some of his pre-draft visits. There are even more dire issues that haven't been brought to the public's attention yet. However, the Steelers took another troubled player from the Big Ten a few years ago when they spent a second-round pick on Mike Adams. They checked Adams out, and they were content with what they saw. Perhaps history will repeat itself. LINK Quote Link to comment
StPaulHusker
He didn't follow the rules. It's supposed to be puff, puff, pass. He was all about puff, puff, puff, puff, pass Not cool Quote Link to comment

Perhaps it's a medical condition or injury. And the media is forbidden to comment on it until Gregory himself says it's okay to disclose it. Quote Link to comment
NebraskaShellback
I can not watch as it unfolds. Quote Link to comment

I'd assume it's a HIPAA violation for the media to disclose a medical condition without express consent of the individual. Quote Link to comment

Weed suspension label by Bo as an injury for the Iowa/USC games? I thought durability and size were going to be his red flags.. Silver lining he doesn't appear to be as fragile as people think.. Just sayin'.. Quote Link to comment
The King
tested positive for more than weed would be my best guess.. Quote Link to comment
The Dude
Could be a lot of things. Including NFL front office people playing head games with each other. Quote Link to comment
Scratchtown
He's gunna be a bust anyway. Quote Link to comment
Guy Chamberlin
If Gregory was indeed using marijuana to cope with anxiety issues, then it's probably something related to the source of his anxiety. Which could be lots of stuff. The NFL doesn't need anything definitive, just that Randy Gregory has issues. Quote Link to comment

Hayseed
If it turns out that drug use is what enables him to perform at the level he does then that's not good. Let's hope it's nothing serious and it works out for him. Quote Link to comment
