Sounds Like LeRoy Alexander is No Longer On the Team

I would sure hope the discussion is based on a lot more than this.

Since when does not "standing out" in spring practice mean that a guy is off the team?

There's got to be more to this. I've never even heard why he was suspended last year, but maybe it has something to do with an ongoing issue if this is even true. Then again, this could all be rumors and a waste of time to talk about.

I think the "stand out' comment wasn't intended to mean that was the reason he's no longer on the team (if he is, indeed, gone). I took it to mean, "He's gone, but not a major loss as he wasn't doing anything special during the spring". Supposition, of course, but it came across that way to me.
Yea, I guess you could take it that way also.

Interesting way for the guy to get the point across. He could've accomplished as much by saying Leroy may not be on the team next year. Like I said though, I don't think we are "devastated" by the loss. Kieron looks really talented.

Don't count out Cockrell and the TRFR A.Williams

Cockrell! Damn, I spaced out on that one. Just goes to show, we'll be more than fine at the position. We got so much depth at DB, it's hard to keep track of all of em' anymore.

Why was he suspended last season? LINK If I heard, I can't remember. :dunno

He got popped last year for steroids.

Or so the rumors say. There has been nothing in the way of proof for this claim.
Ganz and Tim Marlowe both have said it.

I stand corrected if that's true.
Marlowe said it right after happened and Ganz did once everyone got canned and he started doing media.

I hope it's someone other than Cockrell. Perhaps he'll be better at Safety but I was unimpressed last year. Corey Cooper 2.0 - solid player, doesn't screw up a lot but not athletic enough to really make many plays.

Sounds like Williams has really been impressive. He'll definitely be in the mix. I was really hoping for Josh Kalu to get a shot as well before they moved him to corner. Perhaps he gets moved back now.

These kids are young. They're in their prime. They're bodies should be producing all the testosterone and other hormones they can handle. Sure, everybody is probably doing some supplementing; you've got your NO boosters, creatine, protein powders, pre-workouts and what not- but prohormones or anything more aggressive than that is just a sign of laziness. At their age, hard work pays off. Results come with it. These kids have a training table, a trainer, and a training facility. If they can't take advantage of that to build their bodies into fortresses without prohormones, then they aren't working hard enough.
