Minnesota_husker
Frost is a young coach who just had a ton of success. Add that with our facilities and history and I dont think it should be nearly that difficult to get a good(10-25 in the nation) Class.(This is more with a full year to recruit. What Frost did this year was tremendous and not something he and the staff just "fell" into) While I get it is easy to knock Riley, the fact that he had kids like Bookie, Parrish, Moore and others even interested does deserve some respect. I think anyone with a pulse knew we werent going anywhere with Riley and yet he still had kids interested. It is refreshing to know we can truly sell our coaching staff now and to others points, I cant wait to see what he does with a full year of recruiting. Quote Link to comment

You are correct. But I think it had more to do with the Free Ice Cream than the vision of the football program. 4 Quote Link to comment

Huskers93-97
Next time we find ourselves in a battle for a recruit with Riley up in Oregon State. We just need to tell them listen- I know he is promising ice cream with sprinkles but we have "f%&k$in& ice cream in nebraska too" Quote Link to comment

Warrior10
Word is 21-22 is still the number. Masry likely not part of the class which means 4 more spots. Coaches prefer 1 Oline (Bell), 1 OLB (JJB), 1 DB (CJones) and 1 offensive skill guy (Washington). The other visitors are backup options that can be added if we miss on that above or a current scholly guy is no longer. 2 Quote Link to comment
ADS
If the DT from Texas is still visiting next weekend I wonder if he’s taking Masry’s spot. He’s rated higher and has a much better offer list. Quote Link to comment

So are the coaches going to host Henry and Washington on the same weekend with one spot available? Quote Link to comment

Mavric
We currently have 19 commits plus two transfers. We could sign 22/23/24 depending on whether Mapieu and Smith actually sign. Sounding like Mapieu will not sign. Smith sure indicates that he will be signing. 23 seems most likely right now with Mapieu not signing but (probably) still showing up later. One OL: Bell -> Hall -> Canty -> Sampson One OLB: JJB -> Baldonado One RB: Washington -> Henry -> Bryant? One or maybe two DBs: Jones likely commits Saturday -> Palmer back in the picture -> Taylor/Torain Tago an option but not a priority (IMO) We'd be open to adding another WR but probably only if we miss out on other spots: Hunt -> Hall Maybe Ogbonnia at DT if we miss at a couple spots Current Scholarships/Commits QB - 1 - ADRIAN MARTINEZ, Matthew Tago RB - 2 - JUCO GREG BELL, Maurice Washington, Ta'zhawn Henry, Moses Bryant WR - 6 - JUCO JARON WOODYARD, JUSTIN McGRIFF, KATERIAN LeGRONE, JUCO MIKE WILLAIMS, DOMINICK WATT, MILES JONES, Andre Hunt, Nikko Hall TE - 1 - CAMERON JURGENS OT - 1 - Hamilton Hall, Jarrett Bell, Willie Canty OG/C - 1 - WILL FARNIOK, Tyrone Sampson NT - 1 - MASRY MAPIEU, Otito Ogbonnia DE - 2 - TATE WILDEMAN, CASEY ROGERS LB - 2-3 - DAVID ALSTON, JUCO WILL HONAS, Javontae Jean-Baptiste, Caleb Tannor, Habakkuk Baldonado CB - 2 - JUCO DEONTAI WILLIAMS, BRAXTON CLARK, Kendrick Torain, Taiyon Palmer S - 1-2 - CJ SMITH, Cam'ron Jones, Cam Taylor K - 1 - BARRET PICKERING Edited January 26, 2018 by Mavric Updated 2 Quote Link to comment
