Forgot Avery. Part of me wants Mapeau to not qualify so we could possibly take Avery and Thompson.

We need to find a way to fit 20 in this class. The way things are going we will not want to turn any of these youths away.

ADS, for this class to get to 20 we will need 7-8 players to leave the program by next summer and 5 of them will have needed to leave by NSD.

There's always 2-3 that leave after spring/beginning of fall camp. It's really not out of the realm of possibility that 5 leave.

We went through a list of guys who could maybe leave awhile back.

 

Brokop, Avery Anderson, Eric Lee possibly if he gets jumped this year, Barnett, Maybe a RB? Maybe a Young TE that feels buried on depth chart? I can't remember who else we discussed.

Of course it's not, but you didn't say 5, you said 7-8... that's how we get to 20. That's the only way.

Yes, we can oversign by 3, but those scholarships only open when 3 guys leave by fall camp...

So 12 open + 5 leave + 3 oversign (that means 3 more players have to leave) =20

It's possible a scholly could open on a walk on junior that gets a scholarship this year, but not next year... that's pretty unpredicatable at this point.

We are at 81 scholarships right now with 11 Sr's to be on scholarships which means we can sign 15 and still be within the 85 limit. So if we were to oversign by 3 that would put us at 18 but we would have to have 3 scholarship players leave the team by the time the 2018 players start college.
