Tre Bryant @TreBryant_8 11h11 hours ago

I am blessed to have received an offer from the University of Nebraska!! 1f534.png1f33d.png26aa.png#GBR

Underrated recruit IMO. Like him way more than Thomas. The 4.53 was verified at a nike camp/electronic. Ozigbo had a 4.73 electronic 40 yard dash at 230 pounds.

Visiting Minnesota next week. Most crystal balls on 247 have him going there

From Husker Journal:

TRE BRYANT, RB, 5-10, 200, ST. LOUIS (CHRISTIAN BROTHERS COLLEGE HIGH), MO

Tre is currently to the Kansas State Wildcats, but is going to check out some other schools. He will visit Minnesota this weekend and to Nebraska at a later date. He is also interested in Northwestern, Syracuse and Vanderbilt.

NU offers.

“Nebraska offered me last Friday.” Bryant said. “I hear from them twice a week (Twitter). They talk about my games and stuff.”

“They (Nebr.) like my style; how I am with the ball in my hands. I’m interested in Nebraska as well. I have to do some research on them and make sure I fit into their system. I’m very interested in them.” Bryant said

Familiar with Nebraska’s tradition.

“I definitely know about the fan support. I also know they are historically rich with football. They have five National Championships. I have to do some more work on their offensive system; watch some games. Other than that I’m interested in them.” Bryant said

Other possibilities?

“Right now I’m thinking about Northwestern, Syracuse as well, and most likely Vanderbilt. I have to decide which ones I will take my officials from.” Bryant said

“Definitely the education part of it.” Bryant explains his interest in Northwestern. “Northwestern degree is a big deal and they like to use their backs in a good way.”

Bryant likes the fact Syracuse has strong running back tradition. Vanderbilt, how the use their running backs in a good way too. They like physical backs.

“The kind of like the same with Nebraska.” When asked about the Gophers. “They like to utilize their running backs a lot. They would like to use me as a running back, but would use me in the slot a lot.”

“I’m mostly an all-purpose back, can go inside the tackles and outside the tackles. Catching passes out of the back field and also pass protect.” Bryant said

Bryant said he still hears from the Kansas State coaches and is still committed at this point.

Updated senior year highlights - http://www.hudl.com/athlete/1757222/highlights/296582382/v2?recommender=1&utm_expid=74649800-50.xVwcdGojSNiaNtQ6WnoKhQ.1&utm_referrer=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.hudl.com%2Fathlete%2F1757222%2Ftre-bryant

LOOK AT THAT LANGSDORF, IF YOU GET THIS GUY, YOU CAN'T GIVE US bullsh#t ABOUT HOW HE CAN'T PASS PRO, LOOK AT HIS HIGHLIGHTS. AND HE CATCHES OUT OF THE BACKFIELD TOO.

Being serious, I like that attitude - first clips in a RB's high light clip are him picking up blitzes for his QB. Show's the right kind of attitude.

I think he's the silent commit. I've heard it was silent so the kid could decommit from his current school. Bryant just decommitted and is OV this weekend.

"It's a big recruiting weekend for us right now. If a young man can't step out in that stadium right here with the fans of the University of Nebraska and the way they support people, we'll never get anybody."

Named us his leader.

The night isn't over, Lincoln will be insane.

Recruiting predictions on 247 have starting to come in for Nebraska over the last few days. Seems like we're going to take him.

That probably means that Nebraska and A. Thomas, the other RB commit, are going to part ways.

I know I might be nitpicking here but our coaches need to start using the word "we" when talking about our fans and other things pertaining to the football team and the university. Ive noticed this from a few of the coaches this year.

You mean like in that quote where he used 'we' and 'us'?

I was wondering the same thing. I'm guessing A Thomas may not end up being a Husker.

I also read where George Hill, current OSU commit, wants to visit Nebraska. I believe he is listed as a running back but thought I read somewhere he might want to play DB.

Interesting that his ratings are so lopsided. 247 is very high on him but he's a long ways down the rest of the lists.

In doing some investigating, it looks like he performed really well at the Opening Combine in Chicago. He had the "Top Nike Football Rating" at the camp which included an electronic 4.53 40 yards dash. Pretty impressive at a large steak under 200 pounds. He got invited to The Opening even in Oregon (national finals) but apparently didn't compete due to injury.

Can't seem to find any stats for this year yet. At the very least he seems to be a great athlete.

Says he takes pride in pass blocking. Awesome attitude -- a nose for the dirty work :D

Also, Severe/Clouse talk about him here (mp3):

Real exciting addition, very timely.

He will be staying closer to home. Hill still could visit, just a lot of momentum headed in MSUs direction. Hope we still get an OV though.

Hill is not a OSU commit. MSU is his leader.
