TheSker
Ok there is LOTS to improve upon...I'm looking at you coaches...but that's for another day. Let's celebrate a win! HIP-HIP! HOO-RAY! Totally with you on this. Always great to beat Sparty!! I absolutely do not like Riley's style of football......don't enjoy watching it like a power running game. But.....tonight.....we beat Sparty!! BoNeyard
how many people had flash backs to Texas CCG with the 1 second...? Phew!! About time we deserve this to go our way! GBR! Quote Link to comment
Whs from cb
Screw everyone who says the talent sucks. We won that in spite of coaching. Can't agree more.. Screw everyone who says we do not have the players. Our coaches are the ones without talent or experience. Our players are studs. Riley, westerkamp, Jano, Moore, and so many more. You can't blame the players when the coaches can't put them in a position to win. With the right coaches, this team would be unbeaten this year. Unfortunately, we have clowns running the show. Our players are the ones who won this game. Definitely not the idiot banker. 100% agree. Go Huskers Quote Link to comment
GOAT
Whoever was responsible for the squib kick call at the end of the game does not deserve to be involved in the post game celebration. Quote Link to comment
Hayseed
Aren't we better off just blitzing every down?Overmatched on the line... is what it is....... need another pick or fumble to turn the tide Wait.....are you saying it is a matter of talent? Yes, man to man against MSU on the line in this game it's a matter of not being able to get through to the QB in time....that's why we need to run a creative blitz and hope for a turnover. Seems pretty obvious to me that we can't just bullrush four guys and hope to get anywhere. What do you think? Quote Link to comment
GOAT
I saw many Husker fans heading to the exits after the Spartans went up 38-26. Not sure if I should feel bad for them or not Quote Link to comment

That was the right call to make. Done correctly and it kills 10 seconds off the clock. The execution was as pathetic as the onside kick was. Quote Link to comment

I would consider firing the head coach as well as special teams coach because of the last kick off strategy. It is dumb! Kick the dam ball out of the stadium!!!! You don't take a chance of a kick off return. A short kick can be fair caught without any time running off the clock and get field position near the 30 or even further as it turned out. Christ, they only had 17 seconds. Put them on the 25 yard line (40 yards or more of required field to move in about three plays and must save a TO for the kick. They had a terrible field goal kicker thank God or we'd have lost. A good one could maybe have hit that 58 yarded instead of trying to throw for another 10 yards or so. Just pure luck we didn't lose. Coaches also about cost the game and some people could reasonably argue to fire them over the lousy calls on plays down near the goal line. 1 Quote Link to comment

It'sNotAFakeID
Mike Riley told the players they wouldn't be getting sprinkles on their ice cream if they committed a penalty in the 2nd half. Bah gawd it worked! Quote Link to comment
