nathanwindu
So who do you guys think is in line for a Husker offer? Seems to me based on the interest of other schools that Strom & Kitrell are the most deserving, and the Huskers could really use them as well. There's other guys like Ciurej, Arnold, Begley, etc. that I could see getting a late offer as well. Not Vedral since he doesn't fit the scheme, but he's talented also. P.S. I know we offered Broc Bando, but has anybody heard anything about Cordarrius Bailey, the guy who moved to MS from Lincoln High? Seems like he would also be one the staff would be giving a look. Mavric
I think Kitrell will get an offer. Strom would be the next in line (imo) but I don't know if he'll get an offer. Maybe a late one if we miss somewhere. Part of Strom's issue is knowing where he'll fit in. Kind of a tweener it seems like. I've never seen Bailey's name come up. Quote Link to comment
Mavric
Here's Bailey's 247 profile Doesn't appear to have many Power 5 offers though he does appear to have a Mississippi State offer. Shows Nebraska and Mississippi have been in contact with him. Quote Link to comment
cm husker
This seems like a reasonable statement on its face, but it's very misguided about how recruiting at NU needs to work. Nebraska HAS to be a program that can identify and develop potential. Going after "championship caliber" recruits means trying to beat Alabama, OSU, Notre Dame, Michigan, et al. at their own game. And that's just not going to happen consistently. How many of those "championship caliber" guys are even identifiable in high school? Picking up a 3 star California kid is not necessarily better than picking up a 2 star NE native who's got potential to grow. Quote Link to comment
