caveman99
2016 class prospect? Quote Link to comment
Mavric
Apparently so. That's what all the sites have him listed as and he was originally Class of 2014 (out of HS) so that makes sense. I'm assuming he must be a May graduate. Not sure what the rest of the story is. Quote Link to comment
caveman99
Interesting, a TE? Maybe a DE prospect? Quote Link to comment
amhynes89
I'm sure that the staff was counting on reaching 88 scholarships,or over signing by three, on signing day... That didn't happen so we offered engelhaupt (and may have placed tanner lee on scholarship earlier than planned meaning that maybe we were planning on giving him a scholarship after spring attrition instead of counting him toward the signing day limit). Currently with only having 87 they may be looking to fill that 88th spot if someone of high enough quality presents itself in a position of need. If true, then it's nice to see the staff anticipating the inevitable attrition. It's always a nice success story when a walk on gets a scholarship, but if we want quality depth like the 90s then we can't have all of our stud walk ons be on scholarship. Quote Link to comment
Mavric
We told him we want to use him like Carter - H-Back, move him around. Claims he runs a 4.49 40. He asked about making an official visit. We're trying to get him to come on an unofficial visit for the Spring Game but he's not sure if he can make that work. JUCO guys can take OVs in the summer so he's looking to come for what I assume is one of the Big Red Weekends - June 8th, 15th or 22nd. Two-for-two guy. December Graduate. So he was listed as a 2016 guy but must be a 2017 guy. Quote Link to comment

Mavric
Graduating this coming December. He must have originally been a Class of 2016 guy. But since he's only a two-for-two guy, he must have redshirted and stayed at the JUCO an extra year so he's now a 2017 guy. Quote Link to comment

84HuskerLaw
I am sure that he has a spot on this team and will join us as another great commit! Whether or not recognized around the country, he has the talent to be a great addition. Could make a heck of rush end as well as a strong blocking TE in double tight sets. Of course if you play for Riley you have to be able to catch it and sneak around the end on those TE reverses! Husker Nation welcomes another good player to our program! Go Big Red. You will enjoy being out there tomorrow. Quote Link to comment
