Considering two weeks of spring practice already had been completed, he wasn’t even sure he'd get to suit up for Saturday’s Red-White game.He did more than suit up. Kasun’s interception of freshman quarterback Patrick O’Brien on the final play produced the six points in the scrimmage’s scoring system that gave the defense a 46-41 victory over the offense. LINK Not just a walk-on, but a walk-on who got on the team during open tryouts. A true Cinderella story! 2 Quote Link to comment

BigRedBuster
Good for him. I would love for him to have all the success he dreams of so that actually, this is just a little blip on the radar of notoriety. However, I also really hope that he can tell his kids someday that he first became famous by intercepting the great POB's pass. Quote Link to comment
Bowfin
Kyle got a nice write up and great picture in the Omaha World-Herald. I'm sure Mom and Dad scooped up a dozen copies for future grandkids! Quote Link to comment
