BigRedBuster
What a dip sh#t. There are so many stupid things about this one tweet. a) that's not why he was cradling the football. He was about to cross the goal line. Pretty normal. b) he was on his way to his first NFL TD and wanted to make sure. c) let's assume it had ANYTHING to do with that: well, Janovich is in his first NFL game and he's a f*ing fullback and has already run 22 yards. NFL running backs RARELY have runs that long and fullbacks almost never do, so of course he was expecting someone to catch up and for it not to really happen. (Except, again, that was not why he was cradling the football). Yeah, that is pretty silly. Should people criticize an MLB outfielder who catches a fly ball with both hands? The tweet is just plain stupid and unnecessary. If someone would have caught up with him and knocked the ball out, Howard would have probably tweeted out how crappy he was for not securing the ball. The kid makes a TD on his first carry in the NFL. Why does this idiot think he needs to disparage him? Quote Link to comment

Benning made a great comment on it a few minutes ago. "Would Desmond Howard question Tyronne Wheatly about taking care of the ball?" Quote Link to comment
The Dude
Jano probably has enough self-awareness to realize he's going to outrun NFL corners, safeties, and LBs. Plus he had no idea what was behind him. Covering the ball was smart. 1 Quote Link to comment
Count 'Bility
I mean yeah. sorry jano didnt scamper in holding the ball in one hand being more concerned about being a showboatin piece of sh#t doing the hiesman pose than making for damn sure he does the right thing for his team. Im sure Jano's sorry about playing team first. I know that's looked at as a bullsh#t concept these days, desmond. 4 Quote Link to comment
BIGREDIOWAN
Good god, between the cry baby Michigan fans that are screaming "retribution" this Saturday when they play Frost's team and now Desmond being a jerk, once again, about something involving Nebraska those people need to get a life. Nice job Jano! Love watching the fullback make runs like that. Quote Link to comment
MichiganDad3
I liked how #20 bounced off Jano like he was a child. Quote Link to comment

Bowfin
As for Desmond Howard's comments, consider the source. Some old guy trying to remind everybody he was somebody back in the day. Quote Link to comment
Savage Husker
Here's an article about it from outsider's perspective, also identifies a gaffe by very talented - and speedy - running back we all have heard of before. http://saturdaytradition.com/nebraska-football/howard-trolls-janovich-first-td/ Quote Link to comment
Count 'Bility
I know Calvin Jones is thankful replay wasnt around in 1992. Quote Link to comment
darkhorse85
Love seeing this. Schlesinger broke hundreds. Hopefully Janovich has a career as long as Cory had. Quote Link to comment

teachercd
"The fullback and tightend are dying positions in the game of football." - Tim Beck I am trying to think of the final four last year. Bama and MSU use TE's and FB's (maybe not a lot for the FB but some) then was it OU that played Clemson? Clemson doesn't seem to use either all that much, doesn't OU use TE's a lot? Clemson used a TE (H Back) type all the time. The guy had 40 catches for 525 yards and 8 TDs. Quote Link to comment
Moiraine
Clemson is currently up 13-10. Earlier in the game they had a punt return for a "TD," except the punt returner dropped the ball too early as he was running in and the other team got the ball.I guess Desmond Howard would prefer this to what Janovich did?
