Huskers' Williams - Auburn Native - Breaks B1G Triple Jump Mark

Recommended Posts

Four months after deciding to learn how to hop and step, Nebraska’s Tierra Williams jumped again Sunday to the top of a Big Ten medal stand.

The junior from Auburn, Nebraska, won her second gold medal of the conference outdoor championships with a meet-record 44 feet, 6 inches in the triple jump. Williams also won the long jump Saturday.
After winning both events at the Big Ten indoor championships Feb. 26 and 27, Williams successfully completed the four-medal sweep of the horizontal jumps.
Not bad for someone who just took up the triple jump in January.
