Showed out at FNL. Grade issues. BYU and UTAH after him. Ive been wondering about this kid since the FNL, does he have an offer? We could use a 6'3" WR for sure. Quote Link to comment

No he doesn't. Academics were a concern this summer, must not have improved enough? Quote Link to comment

You would think with Wildeman being a relative, they would have a constant update on him, and no news is probably bad news on that front. Quote Link to comment

Just for kicks I added in Beason, Ty Robinson, Noa Pola-Gates, Wandale Robinson, Dru Mathis, Markquese Bell, and Jamel Starks. This seems like an unattainably great finish. Even with this perfect storm, that'd currently only get us to number 16 with none of the other schools finishing out their recruiting classes. Crazy. That's what it will take for us to get to where we want to be. This season really hurt that potential, so hopefully Frost gets this team clicking fast and efficient out the gates next year. Personally I'm a bit nervous of filling up such a huge class after such a disappointing season. A class of 30 players is a whole hell of a lot of bodies that have the potential to not pan out and take up desperately needed roster space in years 3-5. But if we lean heavy on grad transfers and JUCOs that offsets that worry a bit, at least. Quote Link to comment

Sam just posted a link to our scholarship breakdown: https://dataomaha.com/documents/husker-scholarship-distribution Just amazing next year we only have 2 scholarship QB's, 2 defensive tackles, 5 WR's.... He only includes Scholarship guys but just seems light in some areas. Quote Link to comment

Will take Frost and Co a few years to straighten things out in that regard. Also part of the beauty of Grad Transfers and Juco as it can help with this indirectly Quote Link to comment

For instance, we will have at least 3 scholarship QBs....etc. 2 would be a concern. 3 is fine. Quote Link to comment

We'll have a third by the time the season starts and that's really all you can hope for in today's game. I don't think the DT numbers are quite right. Carlos Davis played DT most of the second half of the year. DT has Davis, Daniels, Vainuku and should have an incoming JUCO. Will need to bring in a HS guy pretty quickly though. We have two pretty highly-rated ILBs coming in - Henrich and Hannah - so we're addressing that pretty well. We're working on restocking CBs in this class. I don't think it's really all that helpful to judge depth off of a chart that is missing a quarter of the scholarship guys. That chart doesn't have this year's seniors or next year's freshmen. So of course it's going to look short in a lot of areas. There are only 61 guys on there and two are specialists so 59 total. When you add 24 more guys in there, it will look a lot different. But nonetheless, we're talking at least 15 scholarship players that left the team since Frost was hired. Quote Link to comment
