I'm putting this in the rumor section until officially verified. But, on RSS they're claiming Williams got a DUI last night and also hit an Uber. Would be his third offense per the scrolls.

Take it fwiw.

Nebraska WR Coach Keith Williams Arrested Sunday Morning For Driving Under The Influence

Last night, Nebraska Cornhuskers Wide Receivers coach Keith Williams was cited by the Lincoln Police Department for Driving Under the Influence.

Williams, who is in his second year in Lincoln, was in an accident at the intersection of 9th and N street around 1:45am in the morning.
The police report notes that Williams has two prior convictions. According to CN:

According to the site DUI Driving Laws, the fact that Williams is both on his third offense and had a BAC of +15 complicates things badly for him:

The administrative penalties for a BAC alcohol level equal to or greater than .15 are as follows:

Fine up to $10,000

License suspension from 5 to 15 years

Vehicle immobilization for minimum 5 days and up to 8 months or vehicle impoundment

Installation of Ignition Interlock Device if judge orders

Attendance at chemical dependency education or treatment program

It should also be mentioned that Nebraska does allow plea bargaining for these offenses.

What do we hope happens?

As much as it pains me to say it, he should be fired if he doesn't get jail time or mandatory time in a rehab center. If it was a first time thing I would be fine with him keeping his job (with consequences and accountability), but you can not allow someone to do this 3 times and not have serious consequences. That is absolutely horrific, and when one of the biggest receiver recruits in school history is in town?

Ugh. This is awful.

I don't think there as any scenario where he will keep is job. That said, where would NU look for a new WR coach? Is there a GA on staff now that could do it?
