BigRedBuster
At the very least, the program won't need to give him a really big fat raise to keep him.....if they still want him. Quote Link to comment
Scratchtown
Gotta be honest, not a big fan of this poll. This situation is already bad, and there's already a thread with differing opinions and arguments making it even worse. This just seems like it will encourage more unnecessary arguing. Telling the internet to stop unnecessarily arguing.... Bold strategy. Let's see if it pays off. 2 Quote Link to comment
RedRider!
If he stays, do you realize the negative pub ESPN will spin?I doubt there will be any national publicity about this. Someone mentioned a couple coaches in the other thread who had DUIs and stayed at their universities. Until now, I had never heard of them or their cases. Not to mention ESPN has far bigger fish to fry than college football's 40thish ranked teams receiver coach. Shrug. Quote Link to comment
84HuskerLaw
See my comment in the other discussion of this very same topic. The man is an American citizen with legal rights. Good grief! Quote Link to comment
gorp512
His previous arrests were a time ago and much closer together. Seems as if he has a problem that needs addressing. I hope he can do that while still coaching Quote Link to comment
corncraze
I think we suspend him without pay for part of the year. Give him the opportunity to seek help and better his current circumstance, however make it very clear he's on a no-tolerance policy from this point on. Show everyone we care about members of the Husker family and are not going to dump them in their time of need. Give him one final chance and set up a support system he can access if he ever needs it. 1 Quote Link to comment
teachercd
This will almost get zero national pub… Within seven days you will be forgotten. Sad to say but no one even mentioned the death of our punter anymore. That's just how things work even though I am still sick over it Quote Link to comment
cm husker
Not sure if he should be kept; seems like no based on known info. But how it looks to ESPN should be our last concern. Quote Link to comment

Melby
If he is convicted of a felony, he will need to go, imo. If he can get a misdemeanor and complete Rehab/AA, i would like to see him be put on probation by the school and given one last chance. What a bonehead move. WTF was he thinking? 300k a year and he cant afford Lyft/uber/taxi in Lincoln? What an idiot!!! Quote Link to comment
Landlord
Why is this thread necessary? 1 Quote Link to comment
