If we have the luxury of choosing between the two 2018 kids offered yesterday, I'll take Mayden. I mean the services rate him as a four star, so I would think he is pretty good. What if some kid in Nebraska put up these numbers, would it not be as good because they are going against questionable competition? I know you're not trying to hate, but I'll take what the experts say and what the coaches say on this kid. I don't believe we will land him, but I don't think its fair to judge this kid based on the competition he plays, he is really talented. It's not fair, but it's generally how it goes. A 4* in a place like Idaho or Nebraska generally isn't as well regarded as a 4* in Florida/Texas/California, simply based on the level of competition. I would argue it's harder to pick up a 4 star rating in a place that isn't typically known to be a talent hotbed. 3 Quote Link to comment
