huskerfan92
Purdue fires the head coach 1 Quote Link to comment
lo country
Looks like we could only save him for a year............ Quote Link to comment
Moiraine
Not sure if that makes the game harder or easier. Quote Link to comment
Kernal
I hope the interim coach is a "team in disarray" variety of coach and not a "rally around the guy we all like and win him the permanent job" variety. 5 Quote Link to comment
Kernal
Looks like it's the receivers coach who will take over as interim. As a side, Ross Els (formerly NU's LB coach under Pelini) is Purdue's defensive coordinator this year. Quote Link to comment
Hoosker
Keep the injured players out. Â Play clean football. Â Get ready for Wisconsin. Quote Link to comment
gobiggergoredder
Keep the injured players out. Â Play clean football. Â Get ready for Wisconsin. I'd rather win against Purdue at take the inevitable beating that is coming via the W. Â That defense in the first half against tOSU was nasty. Quote Link to comment
teachercd
9-33, ouch. Wow...9-33 Â So, I think they need to call Ken Niamulato (Navy), Les Miles and P.J. Fleck. All would be great hires for them. Quote Link to comment
huskerinacaveman
I came here specificlly to mention Les Miles to Purdue. His style fits the Big Ten. 1 Quote Link to comment

All would be great hires for them. Let's be honest, any hire for Purdue is likely to be an improvement. I don't view them as being in the market for the top 3 available coaches.....could be wrong. Â I just hope the team doesn't rally around the interim coach and play way over their heads this week. People are talking about voluntarily resting players, taking it easy, etc. Uh hello, McFly, Purdue beat us last year and we haven't exactly taken anybody out behind the woodshed. 4 Quote Link to comment

MichiganDad3
We need to send someone to Purdue to talk up Fo Fitty as their next head coach 1 Quote Link to comment
Swiv3D
I'm hearing les miles (unsurprisingly) is on their shortlist Quote Link to comment
Bigred_inSD
Purdue could and probably will be fired up. With that said we will also be fired up after last year. We won't beat them as badly as some want and expect, but, we will win this game and not have to worry about the final few series Quote Link to comment
