Moiraine Posted December 28, 2020 Share Posted December 28, 2020 Not sure where to post this as it’s not just a Trump thing but a lot of the people saying dumb things right now are Trump supporters... Having a blanket attitude that foreign aid = bad is idiotic. Having good relationships with other countries can improve trade and prevent wars. If we had spent any/more on helping Afghansitan rebuild and making sure they knew we had helped, things might have gone a lot better than they did after that. I’m sure we’ve gotten it right plenty of times too but that’s an example where we should have provided more aid than we did. Link to comment
