Trump's America

Don’t put GWB in the same sentence as Obama. The W days were stunning and awful, and so is our willful amnesia about it. No, it’s not disarmingly funny that W can muse about how his legacy is getting a PR bump in spite of the substance of his administration, and criticizing Trump does not a “moderate” make. If being moderate is accepting that Bush did a fine job, count me out. The standard cannot fall to “not being an openly racist, autocracy-minded fiend”.

I thought Trump was an a$$h@!e for his entire campaign, but I knew it was a schtick. He was playing to crowds for the attention he craves; the job itself he really didn't want. He didn't really have a

I have been noticing the same thing. When I go to the grocery store in my town, mask-wearing is about 50%. The vast majority of men who do not wear masks also happen to be wearing shirts emblazoned wi

That's absurd and dumb. The male Senator who made that suggestion should be have his sophomoric antics discarded rather than seized upon by news media. It's possible to oppose naming a highway after our dumb President while still treating this person as a human being and not an object of national amusement. I think I've had enough of "ha, ha, she's a porn star and her porn star name was Stormy Daniels" news media. Real low hanging fruit there.

Going to be interesting to see if the Stormy Daniels stuff is what actually takes him out.  Certainly can move faster than Mueller in some ways, and can be directly presented to Congress vs. what Mueller has to do to "suggest" congress review it (if I understand things correctly).

On a side note, anybody wonder if there's someone offering her a $hit ton of money to do this?  I don't have a doubt that it all happened and he is trying to hide it, but my question is why after taking a measly $130k and waiting a year is she going full guns now?  Also, somewhere I read today that he called her on the set all the time and she'd put him on speaker phone. So there has to be multiple people who can back that up.  Where have they been?

Because Trump's lawyer Cohen was talking bad about her in the press a few weeks back, which violates the NDA (Cohen reportedly signed the NDA). And Trump reportedly never signed the NDA, which is why she's trying to get the NDA nullified in court.

Oh no, I get that Red - but he was talking about her because she went public (then she put out the "it's all a lie" statement )

I just feel like there are a lot of people in the US (or world for that matter) that may have a reason to "incentivize" her to do this.  Or to urge her to continue along this path.  I mean certainly I'm sure she's getting advice and support, and I for one am so glad that it's happening.  I just think that if $130k was enough to keep her quiet for a year, there had to be something bigger than that to make it come up.

Shoot, I'd contribute to the Go Fund Me if someone created one to fund this.

I object to our perverse fascination with the "porn star" label which Stormy is always reduced to, but this Republican goes entirely in the wrong direction with this:

Quote

“Porn actress,” Mike Murphy, a longtime Republican strategist, amended. “People go straight to ‘porn star.’ I like to see a few awards before you use that moniker.”

Jeez. Murphy is usually one of the sensible ones. What a whiff.

I found that quote hilarious. If ever there was a President who could withstand an affair with a porn star and paying her off to keep quiet, it’s Trump. His supporters simply don’t care. Even if it all comes out, I have a tough time seeing too many caring.

GWB and Obama are the two most recent presidents before our current one, and both served better in their first years than he has.

Allowed, or no? :P
