Trump Taking Credit Where None Is Due

Recommended Posts

This thread title reminds me of a Trump story I read somewhere awhile back.

The Donald's high school's football team (a team he did not play on) won the state championship his junior year. He attended all games that year but one. The one he did not attend they lost, their only loss of the season. Naturally, this made Orange-peel feel as if he was the primary reason they won all the rest of their games, and eventually, the state championship. He went as far as having his own state championship ring made, which was much larger then those that were rewarded to the rest of the team. He didn't stop there neither. He also had a patch made for his school jacket that said "Trump/State Champ/Team MVP". Pretty remarkable stuff.... Now, this story is complete bullsh#t, but most of you probably believed it, because it wouldn't even crack the top 10 of the Orangutan's greatest stunts....

Mr Trump told cheering supporters at a campaign-style rally in Cedar Rapids on Wednesday that he would "give you an idea that nobody has heard about yet".

"We're thinking of something that's unique, we're talking about the southern border, lots of sun, lots of heat. We're thinking about building the wall as a solar wall, so it creates energy and pays for itself. And this way, Mexico will have to pay much less money, and that's good, right?"

He added: "Solar wall, panels, beautiful. I mean actually think of it, the higher it goes the more valuable it is. Pretty good imagination right? Good? My idea."

More than 200 companies are believed to have responded to an invitation from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to submit designs for the wall. Among them was one from Gleason Partners in Las Vegas that proposed a wall of steel, cement and solar panels.

.....

The idea of a solar panelled wall was also proposed in an article by an environmentalist and an academic last year in the Huffington Post and another article for the Wall Street Journal by two academics in March.

Or you could just cut down the trees close enough to shade the panels with a $200 chainsaw. Pretty good imagination right? My idea....
