Red Five
Hopefully the mods can throw the Gundy talk from the Banker/Strewart threads into here 1 Quote Link to comment
Roger Dorn
Think he was a big loss in our recruiting department. But can't blame him for leaving to start a coaching career. Wish him the best. Quote Link to comment
zoogs
I'm sad. Gundy was roundly praised for his social media chops and I had been hoping he'd be sticking around here for some time. Quote Link to comment
famoustitles
Biggest loss if the 3 in my opinion Quote Link to comment

Igetbored216
I'm not familiar with what he specifically did. Was he involved in creating all the recruiting art, images, etc? Quote Link to comment
obert1
Best of luck, was great at his job Quote Link to comment
Red Five
Gunderson is in charge of roster management and overseeing the recruiting and evaluation process, including maintaining a recruiting database, developing communication plans with prospective student-athletes, managing social media and assisting coaches with recruiting efforts for the football program. http://www.huskers.com/ViewArticle.dbml?ATCLID=209846106 Quote Link to comment
zoogs
QB coach job at SJSU is why he left Wow, that's a pretty sweet gig. Could have a bright future ahead of him, too, and maybe wind up back here. Is that where Brennan is at? Quote Link to comment

Comish
Related question (and possibly already answered elsewhere)..... Is Gundy gone immediately...............??.........or does he stay through the recruiting period? With all the changes, it would seem imperative that we maintain some sense of order through the potential chaos of new staff and all the recruiting, scheduling, planning, travel, etc. in this most critical time. IF he is already out the door, who picks up the overall organization for the next 2 1/2 weeks? Quote Link to comment

Mavric
“He was organizing the coaches’ schedules, he was evaluating players, he was keeping tabs on our roster, he was coordinating visits,” said Billy Devaney, NU’s executive director of player personnel. “One of those departments is hard enough to pull off, and he was heavily involved in all four of them. You can see what a void he left.” Gunderson trained many in the office well, Devaney said, so as the Huskers steam toward signing day, they haven’t lost much momentum. “It’s not a case where guys are trying to figure out, ‘How did Gundy do this?’ They’ve been involved,” Devaney said. Todd McShane has assumed some of Gunderson’s role. Devaney said he is more involved, too. The longtime pro football veteran, who spent several years as an NFL general manager, was hired 11 months ago. “I’m starting to get pretty comfortable, finally, on the nuances of recruiting,” Devaney said. “It’s been long hours, but it’s been fun.” OWH 2 Quote Link to comment
