Mavric
5. Nebraska Sept. 2: vs. Arkansas State (8-5) Sept. 9: at Oregon (4-8) Sept. 16: vs. Northern Illinois (5-7) This could be a deceptively tough schedule for Nebraska, which plays games against two traditionally good football teams coming off down years. First up is a home game against an Arkansas State team that won eight of its final nine games in 2016, culminating with a 31-13 victory against UCF in the Cure Bowl. Oregon lost 35-32 at Nebraska last season and finished with a losing record for the first time since 2004. But this year's game will take place at Autzen Stadium -- a place where Cornhuskers coach Mike Riley knows it can be difficult to win from his days at Oregon State. Northern Illinois had an uncharacteristic poor season after playing in six consecutive MAC championship games. The Huskies are more than capable of keeping that game in Lincoln interesting.
