Trump Foreign Policy

President Trump knows what he's doing.  Most don't like this methods simply because he doesn't follow the Uniparty Deep state rules!  The funny thing is that his policies work to the amazement and disbelief of the uniparty.  Now all the sudden Mexico is stopping the illegals from reaching the boarder!

Do you read your own links? That's not what that article says at all. Here's the conclusion:

Quote

The immigration debate will be the main focus of the 2020 election, which means Democrats must fine-tune their positions on immigration in order not to fall into Trump’s rhetorical trap. But we should all remember that Trump’s first two years of hard-line stances on immigration hasn’t actually alleviated the biggest source of conservative apprehension: the surge in migration. In fact, March 2019 saw the highest migrant rate since 2008.

Who knows, Trump could easily be provoked once again to follow through on his threat, even if his original intent was to force Democrats to show their cards. But if he does, he’s not going to do anything but hurt his chances at a 2020 victory — and the everyday Americans he claims to champion.

Trump is saying that Mexico is stopping emigrants, but where's the evidence? According to this, the only thing Mexico has done is their President saying he'd act with prudence:

Trump said that Mexico suddenly stopped the immigrants, and without bothering to fact-check, this was believed because... Captain MAGA said so. Except that:

Quote

Kevin K. McAleenan, commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection, testifies before the Senate Judiciary Committee March 6, 2019 in Washington, DC. McAleenan told reporters yesterday that the latest statistics show migrant crossings at the Mexican border are on pace to break record numbers set last year.

But here's the kicker - the left hand has NO IDEA what the right hand is doing. Because we need those immigrants. In some places, we need them badly. And Trump's government knows it.

U.S. Wants to Allow More Foreign Workers While Also Restricting Immigration

The federal government wants to issue more visas for foreign workers to take temporary jobs in housekeeping, landscaping and other fields — even as President Trump seeks to seal off the border with Mexico, where most of those workers come from.

The Departments of Homeland Security and Labor said they planned to issue up to 30,000 additional H-2B visas through Sept. 30, the end of the federal fiscal year. Congress has generally capped the number of visas, which businesses compete for, at 66,000, divided evenly between summer and winter seasons.

Only workers who had previously secured the visas would be eligible for the proposed additional ones.

The visas provide legal status for immigrants in temporary nonfarm jobs with landscaping companies, restaurants, hotels and amusement parks, among other industries.

Last fiscal year, about 75 percent of these visas were issued to workers from Mexico, according to State Department data. Visas were also issued to, among others, Jamaicans, Guatemalans and South Africans.

Business groups regularly push lawmakers to raise or eliminate the cap on the number of visas issued, a demand that has increased as unemployment has dropped and domestic workers have become more scarce.

Oh...this is going to go a long ways to prevent terrorists from wanting to act out against the US.

But, boy does Ben know how to stroke Trump's ego.

Americans will die because of this.

It's sad that the president is this easily manipulated but i doubt this will convince anyone to attack america or the west that wasn't going to.

I really really disagree. They may have wanted to kill us before, but this is motivation.

Even if if it’s not an attack on American soil, Americans will die in the Middle East  because of war over this.

War over the golan heights? Maybe. But the name of settlement wont spark a new war.

One heck of a lot of the problems we have in the entire region is because of our support for Israel.  It doesn't have to be directly in Golan Heights...etc.  Various groups/countries in the region have a huge problem with our support of Israel and specifically their settlements.  Put the name of a US President on one and it's total motivation and a slap in the face of anyone who opposes those settlements.

I knew John Bolton was trouble when he joined this admin.  It just double downs on the President's stupidity and foreign affair ignorance.

He we have Trump and Bolton giving the green light for the Libyan repel leader to over throw the govt supported by the UN. By the way, where is

that Libyan rebel from ....

Haftar and his militias had controlled eastern parts of the country, including the city of Benghazi, but in recent weeks he has marched his troops westward, toward the capitol Tripoli, in an effort to oust the Libya’s internationally recognized government.

How ironic - Trump was critical of Obama and Hillary's handling of the Benghazi situation and now who is he supporting - the militia from that area.

No one knows which side the US is backing

We kick off discussing a rather unusual turn of events. On April 19th, I and every other reporter who subscribes to the White House email list, received a note in our inbox that was a White House summary of a phone call between Donald Trump and Khalifa Haftar. In the call, the President offered his support behind the renegade general. This statement seemed to reverse US policy on Libya, which is to support the UN-backed government. Subsequent reporting by Bloomberg news has confirmed that US National Security advisor John Bolton gave a “green light” for Haftar to launch his assault on Tripoli. This seemingly undermined the State Department’s position, which was to oppose the military offensive by Haftar.

Wtf... Are these idiots about to start a war with Iran? Can we please stop mucking up the middle East? The British, the US , the Russians, and the middle eastern countries themselves haven't been able to establish any kind of stability in that region for over 100 years. I think it's time we take a step back.

But, that doesn't allow Trump to play with his big toys.

Haftar actually lived in the US for several years so I'm sure he's got friends in the cia.

Doesn't really make sense to over through one ex military officer dictator if your just gonna destabilize the country for several years just to put in another one. American foreign policy is really sophisticated.
