“every time we talk about...”

”they say racism”

That’s because you’re a racist you f#&%ing a$$h@!e.

If Omar said all Jewish people should be killed she should be criticized and impeached (or whatever that’s called for a U.S. rep) but that doesn’t make being a racist back at her or anyone else is okay. Because when you are racist to someone it’s an attack on everyone of that race.

so trump is accusing sweden of taking hostages?

Admittedly, I haven’t followed this case at all. But is there a real reason to doubt that this guy won’t get a fair trial in Sweden?  Or are we just going to allow Americans to do whatever they want overseas and get bailed out after? What about the boys who killed the cop in Rome?

the guy is black...so trump is thinking he can get some black support by freeing him.   that's the only possible reason i can think of.

Ummm....there is real reason to be concerned for this particular American in this case.  From what I've seen, this isn't a "do whatever they want and get bailed out".

They have video of what lead up to the incident.  Two white guys started following them and causing problems.  He (on video) is shown trying to get them to stop by talking to them.  It ended up in a scuffle and he was arrested.

I'm not guaranteeing he's innocent.  But, from what I've seen, I'm falling on his side right now.

I'm not saying he's guilty.  But is there reason to think he won't get a fair trial?  Did they arrest the other guys?

I guess my point is this: If A$AP were a 38 year-old white male teacher from Nebraska, would Trump be doing this?  Has Sweden given us reason to doubt their system?

No, because Trump thinks teachers are all liberal plants to brainwash our kids into socialism and societal decay.

I was specifically responding to your point about "Americans going over seas and doing whatever they want and....we come bail them out".  Part of the State Department's job is to protect the rights of Americans if they need help in various countries.  The US should not intervene to the point of demanding he not even have a trial or investigation.  But, they should be making sure Sweden DOES give him a fair trial.

How much of this is because he's a celebrity and celebrities don't sit in jail?

I don't know if I've seen "all" the videos, but I made a point to research this this afternoon.  This is what I found..

1.  A$AP's body guard chokeslammed a skinny kid outside an establishment.  (I'm not sure of the reason why..)

2. Skinny kid "stupidly" continues to follow the posse around and complain about his "ear buds?"

3. Neither side will walks away. They continue to "talk".

4. A$AP and his crew eventually beat the living crap out of the scrawny dude.  Not toss him and walk away. Not throw a punch and run.  They threw the guy down, outnumbered, and kicked, and punched, and unloaded on the guy....

I'm not an attorney, but I believe it would be assault in the United States.  I get the scrawny guy should have let it all go, but the beating he took was unwarranted considering the time and opportunity that A$AP had to walk away or address it in a more responsible way.

Me annoying the crap out of a person does not give them the right to beat the s#!t out of me.  But I also would anticipate it!  Make sense?

I'm about 100% sure it has more to do with Trump seeing an opportunity to get good headlines for helping a person of color as he prepares to run for re-election.

I agree with that.  And I understand that there are famous musicians supporting this.  But on what grounds? The man is on video beating the crap out of someone else.  Not a "slap" to say leave me alone, they crushed the guy.

I don't care either way, but this is the "racial" hill Trump chooses to die on?  What a joke...
